@NaziZombieDestroyer3 Our only hope now is that Valve co doesn't make a movie out of the whole thing. A book would be acceptable. Some prequel to set the scene before 'you' wake up and defeat glados. In fact, I remember reading developer comments that the Borealis (Aperture Science research vessel) is going to be in HL2e3. Sadly i haven't played Portal 2 yet, but i hope the portal series and HL series collide. That will be a great day.

@kinsel2011 yeah, Half-Life 2 - a 2004 game - lags a little bit on my computer and has a few issues, even on crappy graphics settings, but Portal 2 ran fine, on the highest settings. amazing graphics, too; probably one of the best aesthetics i've seen in a game that runs on my PC.

so yeah, i really recommend it. i'd say it's better than the first. as the other guy said, it's longer, adds some backstory to the characters and Aperture Science, great humour and voice acting, too.

The jellyfish is a child's representation of Glados, who happens to represent a jellyfish.. or so a child may see her as. it's not that difficult to imagine, really..with all the wires hanging off of her, and her rounded shape.

@Asthiruma Chell isn't glados's daughter. Glados is caroline's memory who was an assistant to johnson in the 50's which would make chell like 60 by portal 2. When in reality chell is in her 20's. Because when you see the potato batteries in portal 2 one if you look really closely is signed chell and one of her steps is something special from daddy's work so maybe her parents worked at aperture and she got trapped idk it makes you wonder.

In case you didnt realise she didnt age at all between the end of Portal and Portal 2... and the gap was quite a few years (dont remember how many :P) So she could still be their daughter. Also there is quite a lot of evidence to support that she is.

What I think is that Chell's parents worked at aepeture laboratories and they had just finished making GLaDOS on bring your daughter to work day and GLaDOS flooded the enrichment center with neurotoxin and that killed everyone, except she kept Chell alive beacause Caroline is probably Chell's mom.

@drpepperox313219 actually, if youve gotten to this part, cave johnsen starts talking about saving his life(he was poisened by moon rocks) by mapping his brain into a computer. enen later, you hear him yelling " If i die, caroline must run this place!" and then GLaDOS says "Goodbye, Sir." (The creators of the game also stated this fact in the interview section of the portal manuel.)

Im guessing chell drew that on bring your daughter to work day before GlaDOS woke up. In Portal 2, if you look at the bottom right of the display of the "potato tree," you see she was there.

In commentary mode, GLaDOS chamber, it is explained that GLaDOS went through a number of designs. One looked like a jellyfish. Also, look at the room overlooking he "unsolvable test". It's in the escape sequence, an office that some people miss after the first giant fans. Another pencilled in jellyfish is near the monitors, above the desk.
