  • Class! have to learn this song!

  • About 2% of us are exposed to music of this quality, the rest feed off the "pigswill" that the radios pump out.

Dougie is one of the finest songwriters & performers that these islands have produced. Cara does a fine job.

  • an angelic voice & an awsome song too, love it!

  • I prefer the Transatlantic Sessions version with Jerry Douglas's haunting steel guitar, all time fave, gets me every time!

  • absolutely amazing and unforgetable !!! flawless to say the least!

  • Have Cara and Mary ever sung together?

  • I think Mary the former queen of Irish vocals will have take second place.

  • Probably a lot growing up - but they did perform "O Holy Night" together on the radio on Christmas a year ago. They also perform "P Stands for Paddy" together at McReynolds Bar, Dungiven on Cara's wonderful REDCASTLE SESSIONS DVD.

  • I'm not going to post anything original. Very beautiful voice and lovely performance. Perfect - nothing to add, take away or change.

  • i'd first heard this tune by cathie ryan and it blew me away! this darlin does garden valley with at least equal justice and i love hearing cara sing it as she is mesmerizing.

  • A truly humble beautiful song. Makes me so honored to be in life at the same time. God so blessed you Cara! Go sister you rock!!

  • A humble, talented and beautiful Diva from the north of Ireland.

  • Her voice is truly unique, makes the hairs on the back of neck stand up!. No other nation in the world could produce a singer like Cara Dillon, Her Derry accent is clearly audible in all of her songs.

  • Stunningly beautiful. Why, oh why, can't our so-called American divas understand what Cara so clearly does: that a beautiful voice should serve the song. She tells this story incomparably.

  • Best Female Singer Alivee :| (L)

  • Never heard of Cara Dillon until I saw a live version of this song on BBC4 Transatlantic Sessions. The melancholic beauty of this song is haunting. If you get a chance see the version I did, Fantastic.

  • Please come back to Australia Cara? Garden Valley and Craigie Hill are so sad and beautiful. What a voice.

  • The world is richer for Cara Dillon, You Tube is richer for jmccool14, a million thanks for a simply wonderful

    video.

  • Brilliant, thanks soooo much for this!

  • This is my current favourite Cara Dillon song, I love the album version, I have seen her sing it live, I hope to hear her sing it live again in three weeks time and "Garden Valley" just bowls me over with its beauty yet so much sadness. It really brought a tear to my eye when I heard it live at The Trinity Theatre at Tunbridge Wells a year ago. Just as then, it is possible that "There's No Peace For Me" (Sniff!!)

  • Try to listen the original version written by the wonderfull Dougie Maclean....You will be amazed
