Well, that's not important to me. I need a car which can go at 120-130 mph, stays on track like on rails, and with not too much noise inside of the cabin. Important for long distance drives.

That Slalom is most impressive.. the car looks so elegant yet sporty.. It might not break records and stuff. But it's a worthwhile package; Sporty but keeping a luxurious feel and darn reliable!
A Lexus is a pour man's Mercedes-Benz, Lexus is made by Toyota. In Japan the same "Lexus" that people drive in the United states is called a Toyota there is no difference in the cars just that Toyota made up the Lexus name for America because Toyotas are know for being cheap and low quality. My family has had 3 Camry's and a Corolla, from the early 90's to the 2006 Models.. They literally NEVER break down, never had to repair anything but do the usual maintenance, like brakes). And who cares what Lexus is named here or in Japan. I have a friend who has a Toyota Soarer here in America (aka Lexus SC430), just as good.

"f-sport" is not a sports package. its the name for performance options that you can buy AFTER you buy the car & it includes a cat/back exhaust, 6 piston brakes, adjustable suspension, cold air intake & a new clutch... oh & the f sport wheels.. again.. these options are best for driving on curve-filled mountain roads. if you are serious about speeding then dish out an extra 5 grand for the 3.5 306hp engine.. very fun car & its not trying to be a track toy

The IS350 is actually also an entry level. Its just based on series. A4 2.0T (FWD/AWD), C300/C350, G35, TSX/V6 TSX, IS250/IS350 they all are the same entry level segment. They all are Entry Level Luxury Sports Sedan. While the IS-F, M3, C63 AMG, S5 are Ultra Luxury Sports Cars.
Yes, the IS250 is a luxurious vehicle, but if you were going to buy a luxury vehicle you wouldn't but the IS250. You would buy the ES350 or GS. Yeah? The IS250 was made as an entry level luxury sports sedan. Even though it isn't much of a sports car. It lacks performance and handling. It makes 204HP from a 2.5L V6 that's horrible. A V6 producing 204HP? Whack. I drove an IS250 before; my friend owns one. The handling sucks, but the ride is comfortable.
@NigguhJason the Lexus IS has two six-cylinder engines, like the bmw 3-series. the is250 you are talking about is the entry v6 w/ 205hp, but the is350, (the more upscale engine) is a 3.5 liter v6 with nearly an additional 100hp. also, like the bmw, it has a sports version, is-f, which has a 5 liter v8. the car featured in this video is an is250 with some parts drawn from the the is-f. the real is-f is the one w/ the v8, not the 2.5 v6.
The IS-F is a horrible car. I know you are valid to your opinions too, but deleting your comment is another thing after telling me. I just thought would acknowledge you that the IS-F isn't good. Its soft. It comes with an 8 speed auto and the quad tips are fake. Its 2 tips for 1 exhaust on each side. The tips are for making it look sporty. The IS-F is fail mostly cause of the transmission. No real sports car uses a 8 speed automatic. C'mon.
Who in the world buys a Lexus IS250? If you want performance don't waste your money on the IS250 cough up a bit more cash and get the IS350. The IS250 is a joke car. Did you know a Civic SI is faster than the IS250 stock and this one in the video. Also the Acura TSX is faster than the IS250 stock and this one in the video. And both the Civic SI and the Acura TSX you would save money if you buy them versus the IS250. Don't get me wrong; the IS250 is a nice luxury car, but performance is bad.
My 09 Si sedan does 0-60 in 6.5 that not bad for a four cilynder. I don't hate Lexus it's a good car but they should improve on the accelaration. My wife's Oddysey goes faster in the 1/4. The car is a over priced Toyota. But I like the style thump up. If I had the money I would get the ( is 350) all out. :-)
Toyota and Lexus are unstoppable - thank God for their recent mishaps so the automakers can catch their breath. You have to know that a company like this is a juggernaut - They have down for the count but you asking this company to focus and improve again - the quality and fine product that will be the result is just gravy for the consumer. Lexus IS being redesigned - that shoud be a showstopper.

I own a 2007 Lexus IS250 Sport Edition and it is THE perfect car! It's hell of a fun driving it, it is cheap compared with BMW, Mercedes, Audi, but far better equipped, and even with my fast way of driving and too much traffic in Vienna (Austria / Europe), it consumes less than 9.5 litres per 100km (on average with 60000km). And guess what? I had no problem at all with any part of the Lexus --> perfect quality!

It's correct; the Lexus I.S. 250 RWD covers 0-60 mph in about 7.9 seconds while the I.S. AWD covers it in 8.3 seconds and the I.S. 350 covers it in 5.6 seconds. I hope Lexus improve the acceleration times in their next generation sedans (i.e. 0-60 mph in shorter times).

cinsidering all "fame" and engines Lexus pretend to have superb, this model is average. Both 220d and 250 petrol got smashed by 1.8 VTi 170 hp which according to factory 0-62 times is real. Sorry 2.5 L 205 hp could go bit faster...

Who in the world buys a Lexus IS250? If you want performance don't waste your money on the IS250 cough up a bit more cash and get the IS350. The IS250 is a joke car. Did you know a Civic SI is faster than the IS250 stock and this one in the video. Also the Acura TSX is faster than the IS250 stock and this one in the video. And both the Civic SI and the Acura TSX you would save money if you buy them versus the IS250. Don't get me wrong; the IS250 is a nice luxury car, but performance is bad.

My 09 Si sedan does 0-60 in 6.5 that not bad for a four cilynder. I don't hate Lexus it's a good car but they should improve on the accelaration. My wife's Oddysey goes faster in the 1/4. The car is a over priced Toyota. But I like the style thump up. If I had the money I would get the ( is 350) all out. :-)

Toyota and Lexus are unstoppable - thank God for their recent mishaps so the automakers can catch their breath. You have to know that a company like this is a juggernaut - They have down for the count but you asking this company to focus and improve again - the quality and fine product that will be the result is just gravy for the consumer. Lexus IS being redesigned - that shoud be a showstopper.

I own a 2007 Lexus IS250 Sport Edition and it is THE perfect car! It's hell of a fun driving it, it is cheap compared with BMW, Mercedes, Audi, but far better equipped, and even with my fast way of driving and too much traffic in Vienna (Austria / Europe), it consumes less than 9.5 litres per 100km (on average with 60000km). And guess what? I had no problem at all with any part of the Lexus --> perfect quality!

It's correct; the Lexus I.S. 250 RWD covers 0-60 mph in about 7.9 seconds while the I.S. AWD covers it in 8.3 seconds and the I.S. 350 covers it in 5.6 seconds. I hope Lexus improve the acceleration times in their next generation sedans (i.e. 0-60 mph in shorter times).

no it will just lose HP (horsepower) The IS has a high compression ratio engine :Like 12to 1 so it needs the hi octane fuel to make the horsepower.

cinsidering all "fame" and engines Lexus pretend to have superb, this model is average. Both 220d and 250 petrol got smashed by 1.8 VTi 170 hp which according to factory 0-62 times is real. Sorry 2.5 L 205 hp could go bit faster...

i dont think this car was even built for the whole need for speed kinda vibe..
it was just for the sporty look. im sure the one in the vid was slightly tweaked (the engine is obviously not an original branded one) but still it's not 100% built for that drag race wtfpwnspeedage.
