It's not about frequency range alone but how accuratly the sound is being reproduced in this range. You can get phones these days with 8+megapixel cameras, but they won't produce higher quality pictures than say a 5 megapixel SLR camera. Same thing here. We have Beyerdynamics DT-770s in our studio which I think are great.

A client who is sponsored by Skullcandy left us a set of these. One day I gave them a try but the SQ was so bad I thought there was something wrong with the playback system.

So far, i'm on my 3rd pair, soon to be 4th, each one replaced by skullcandy as the quality of these are shitttt. The adjustment band on the left side breaks every time. I'd advise you not to buy them, other than that the music quality is actually really good.

I got these 3 months ago for Christmas. The plastic is really flimsy and is easily broken. Everybody I know that owns Hesh have broke including mine. My friend's broke after 2 weeks. After they break, sound will only come out of one speaker depending on how badly it has broken.

Just got a set of these this morning in the post, I'm writing this comment 6 hours later because it took half a day to open the SK packaging. I love bassy headphones and these SK Hesh have distortion not bass, yes my ears do feel the vibrations. 18-20,000(Hz) is not good, cheaper headphones can go down to 10-22,000(Hz) like the Sony MDR-XD200 which are less than half the price of the SK Hesh.

I'm struggling to find something nice to say about these Hesh.

Try a Pioneer HDJ500 and hear how far up SQ and comfort is above in a inexpensive DJ headphone.

I just got these headphones and I'm liking them so far. I have small ears so they don't hurt at all. I've used it on my phone (my ipod broke) and my computer for like 2 to 3 hours now and they're working pretty good. People I see have been saying theirs have broken, but you also have to remember that these are a $50 pair of headphones, you can't compare them to the beats...

1- u bable a little, the cable u bought has nothing to do with the headphones.

3- u forgot the most important thing about them, the sides break after a few months. theyr way too brittle. the left speaker of mine is litterally hanging of by the wire inside.

They really are pretty good quality, especially for the price. The big think to watch for is the sliding piece. When you have it adjusted (to fit a head bigger than a midget's) the plastic is extremely fragile.

@trolior I'm guessing your a big bass guy, I recommend the Sony XB-500 or Sony XB-700 (The bigger number the bigger size and bass)... These are AMAZINGLY comfortable, like having too pillows on each side of your head, they are stylish but you will get funny looks, they are made of aluminium and won't break, the sound quality is Great and the bass is amazing, you may need an EQ to reduce the bass :P Head shaking on bass boost :P
