U.S. team finished 6th in 2002. In the '04 Olympics they took 3rd with the Bronze medal. In '06 they again took 3rd with a bronze medal in the World Championships, losing to Greece.

They've been losing with NBA players anyway. In 2002 at the World Championships, in the 2004 Olympics they took the bronze, and in 2006 they took the bronze losing to Greece.

Why is it that there are alot more white players in the NBA but, hardly any from America? I have a feeling it might be cause, blacks don't usually respect white players and are immediately made role playes unless they basically are already established and since in Europe it's all the same you get more opportunitys to prove yourself kinda a bit like reverse racism BTW I'm mixed white/hispanic with my hispanic side being indian/european/black/arab and it just seems to be this way I could be wrong.

yea but then we just threw a team together that only practiced like 2 weeks together, now they sign on for 2 years at a time I believe. We will get the gold back even though the rest of the world has caught up in the sport of basketball.
