Wampler just makes the most killer ODs and high gain monsters. If you want more an EVH or I should say Eddie in box get the Pinnacle II, it is a brownsound box. the Triple Wreck is an very fuzzed but very articulate high gain also goes into that really over driven Glimour Big Muff fuzz out. Great pedals. The Plextortion is a superb high gain JCM 800-900 tone. You have to get your amp tuned right on a great channel tone. I cannot say anything about SS amps, hard to imagine it would not fry face
It is so close to the Metallica tone! I put this on one tab and Metallica's "To Live is to Die" sound clip-only here on Youtube and it is very very close in tone.

hey guys i have a bugera v22 and i cant get any distortion with the pedal becuse the chanel is very low gain i put it the gain up all the way and only get a pink floyd crunch what pedal should i get for such a clean vintage amp? i want van halen tight distortion but also some of this shred Vai, Paul gilbert tupe of pedal dosent really matter much cause i use that playing not so oftenmostly looking for van halen 80s type distortion that tight overdrive on a vintage amp i use a ibanez rg 350
@12345678ix If you want Van Halen, Vai, and Paul Gilbert, some kind of Marshall is the way to go. Paul Gilbert used the Laney GH100 for YEARS, you can get used ones for $500-600 easily! But for EVH, Vai, and Gilbert, anything close to a Mesa isn't going to do it really.
Bugera are Chinese shit amps made by 12 year olds avoiding forced prostitution, and the amps have some of the loosest knob pots I've ever felt. I wouldn't trust bringing it home from the store, let alone gig with it!
sounds great in the video, but would you say it sounds fairly close to a good high gain amp? ive been through various high gain pedals and usually end up dissatisfied with either fizzyness, muddiness, or just plain weird midrange artifacts, and have been looking for something that feels tight and closer to an actual amps distortion.
+infinity for the To Live is To Die riff. Incredible song! Great demo. I am highly considering picking this up. I hate GAS lol.

This is a big mean dirt pedal. It sounds very amp like.

seems to lack some warmth, but not bad.

It's warmer in vintage mode, but most of this demo is in the modern mode. The Les Paul was a tad too dark with it in vintage mode for my taste.
