Im sorry but then you don't understand plants. Corn takes so much less time and produces higher yields than trees. Most trees are perennial and they take a lot of time to become usable. And they are not all against toilet paper. Just the ultra kind. the Ultra kind is the soft mushy one, which requires all that stuff. The cheap, one ply, rather uncomfortable paper isnt much of a problem.

@ILoveBears86 this actually happened in cuba. some bureaucrat forgot to place an order for toilet paper to be dispensed and there was a national shortage. so people started using the most abundant source of paper available, the state owned newspaper. ironic huh? in fact, since the .gov had to approve tranactions, yesterday's papers were selling at the price of today's...on the black market.

Oi! Do like we do and have REQUIREMENTS for college, you know notes, entrance exams and such... Obama's point is to allow those who's parents ain't loaded of money to get in. We were bankrupt after the WW2 (War Bills to Soviets etc.), but we still allowed to students that wanted to follow college studies to do that if they met the requirements and those who didn't meet them or who just didn't want to go went to vocational school...

You're right not all people should go to college. But every person should be presented with the opportunity to do so. Remember many poor people simply cannot afford it, even though they qualify for it. Allowing poorer people to become educated will help poorer areas gain wealth. But also it gives kids something to look forward to, they know if they get good grades they will be able to go to college. The very knowledge of a good future can stop people resorting to crime. no hope = dispair

Scholarships are great but they are reserved for the best of the best high school students and oddly enough sportsmen. Furthermore, it seems quite obvious that natural carbon capture systems like the oceans and plants cannot capture as much carbon as we put out. This in turn leads to a greater abundance of carbon in the atmosphere and a reduction in heat radiated back out to space. How are you against this logical hypothesis

The only reason they do it is to get tree huggers off their backs. Also, they don't always do good with their planting methods. The trees planted sometimes seem like the correct species, but are actually not native to the environment. Which is, you know, NOT A GOOD THING.

Im sorry but then you don't understand plants. Corn takes so much less time and produces higher yields than trees. Most trees are perennial and they take a lot of time to become usable. And they are not all against toilet paper. Just the ultra kind. the Ultra kind is the soft mushy one, which requires all that stuff. The cheap, one ply, rather uncomfortable paper isnt much of a problem.
