Post-hardcore is my fav genre, but it is anoying as fuck! You have so many versions... like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus or Silverstein... sounds like pop punk, but isn't. Memphis May Fire, Woe, is Me (true post-hardcore if you ask me) and ofc bands like Asking Alexandria that sounds more like metalcore than anything else. This works the other way for the same generes as well if you ask me... pop punk, metalcore and post-hardcore... so close, still far.

Escape the Fate, Silverstien, Saosin, Yesterday Rising are all Post Hardcore, that with latter releases adapted alt rock mannerisms. Still remaining within post hardcore.

Also, your ideal post hardcore bands are garbage. Dance Gavin Dance, Mozart Season, A Lot Like Birds, Fairway Drive... GOOD Post Hardcore
