It is very frustrating at first. Just don't make the mistake of laying them on their back while feeding, it can go into their lungs. Think about how they eat naturally from their Mommy, on their tummy. Hold underneath their chin without closing up throat with one hand, while offering bottle with the other. One thing that works for me is to put my finger in their mouth and when they start sucking, I quickly put the nipple in it's place. You can also rotate puppies feeding on their Mommy.
@cricketspups I was quite shocked when one member of the volunteers team for saving strays told me that she feeds them that way...laying them on their back.I have a little experience from bottlefeeding and my instict AND logic tod me to immitate their mom.Was giving the puppies my hands to push with their paws too.
@Ninitos1 Hopefully they know what they're doing. They may be tube feeding. I have never been brave enough to do that. I had one puppy once that had to be tube fed, and I had the vet keep her there and do it. They ended up falling in love with her and I gave her to them as their mascot. She hangs out at the vets office as an adult all day everyday now, then goes home with her "Mommy" the vet tech. I like that you them your hands for kneading. :)
@cricketspups no,she was instructing me how to bottlefeed 2 strays(9 days old) that i got to raise and find a new home for them.Puppies found their new owners and i am about to visit them in a few days!!!I hope those furry lil bastrds remember how we cuddled on my bed!!!! XD

puppies 9 of them 2 days old and its too aid missi with her nursing, and am using poxy lactol feeding bottles
