every one who says football always talks about padding, this is how wrong they are, in football most hits are where in the shoulders right thus huge ass pads i mean they are huge and they are all plastic and meatal, hockey where do most hits come from the shoulders, which are two pieces of plastic, attached to foam, the lower half is for the thing that flays around yea you know the puck, the thing that goes about 100 plus, now add a puck to football and tell me who's wearing more padding haha

in my opinion football = bigger crazier hits how many times do u c a hockey player spinning around in mid-air? now even if there are bigger hits in hockey u have much more paddin in hockey than football. And in hockey your are really try to get around the guy to score you aren't expectin a hit so they aren't braced for it in football you have to lik run straigh into the guy and you can try not to get knocked over so the hits dont seem as big

hockey you have a rubber puck going up to 100mph flying around and it can do a lot of damage but in football you have 300lbs going the speed of most people walking trying to hit you but i am going to give the edge to hockey because of the many more dangers and because we people coast they are still going the samespeed as people that are off ice are when they sprint

Those 300 pound guys aren't slow, you probably couldn't outrun most of them. Football is more brutal on the body. If the NFL extended its season to 82 games like the NHL then probably 70% of the players on the roster would go down with a serious injury. A football player is bigger and stronger than a hockey player so football hits have more potential for damage. Most players get involved in some form of contact every play.

both games used to be more brutal before the rule changes, like those in the nfl that protect the quaterback. talk to terri bradshaw about late hits, the rule was different in the seventies, the players could tee off on anyone as long as the whistle hadn't blown
