She sang on Howard Stern once at 7am singing" True Colors" and it is a great version. She is a great example of someone who actually sings and dances live and not to a backing track. GO Cyndi!

Being a metalhead in the 80's, I hated everything pop but liked this. If the guitars were distorted and playing more aggressively, this could have been a metal song.The drummer had a ridiculously huge kit. Add on top of that the fact that Cyndie Lauper could go toe to toe with any singer Male or Metal. I especially like this version because of the flying trashcan!

Can you believe the girl who runs up on stage and hugs Cyndi was the (then unknown) Martika of "Toy Soldiers" fame? I was always touched by the way Cyndi hugs her back instead of being freaked out that some crazy girl was running toward her. It may have been staged for the video, but I don't think so. I knew them from the club scene in Nash. They were from Atlanta, and quite popular in England.

Just because they fell through the same hole Cyndi's original band, Blue Angel, got lost in doesn't take away from their talent. Only a pop poser would equate record sales or media saturation with talent.

Maybe it will make you feel better to know that The Georgia Satellites were a spin off and made top dollar with "Don't Give Me No Lines and Keep Your Hands To Yourself"
