i have the same laptop but it has a intel celeron procesor above 1.8 GH , a mobile intel 965 expres chipset family video card , and 1 GB ram . Even my old computer is better than this laptop . Can I change the video card with a Nvidia or something else?

HP and ACER are the 2 greatest company manufacturers there computer does not break on it own and there strong... NEVER BUY A DELL or a LENNOVO dell computers break alot and you will need to buy a 1 yr warrenty they will break on the 3rd week. i had so many dell products that broke sodumped it and went for all the other brands so far HP and acer are the best.

I have hp compaq 6720s laptop and it has Intel centrino 2.10 GHz T8100 processor. 3MB L2 cache, 3GB RAM. Means it is a solid machine specs wise. Isn't it? Now it often has the problem of Ethernet card and one more thing that I found today is its caps lock key don't give any onscreen notification for caps lock on or off however its light works that is on the button. Please tell me solution if anybody knows. Thanks.

you need light scribe disks there are DVD light scribe and CD light csribe after burning datya on the disk you will be asked by the the program (pleas put you disk up side down and then you will find a huge menue with alot of options to ,odifi your painting on the disk and it will show you a preview on what you will see after the coloring and here you go a colorfull disk (i tried it in nero 7 essanatials with light scribe alwayse works)

I must Agree cause when i do build my dream gamer pc it's going to have 8gb of ram, An AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core Processor 3.20 Ghz, and a lot more for my dream pc maybe with vista or xp i don't know

Why would you want 8 gigs of ram ? Not only will the system be bottle necked, windows cant recognize that much ram, unless you buy a 64 bit version of windows. But then games wont be compatible. If you want speed, you can stick with 2gb (maybe 3) But get them clocked fast at around 1333Mhz and good latency on it. 8gb would be a waste on money.

im running 8gb ram right now all in vista 64 home premium and none of my games are incompatible there are no bottle necks with my q6600 at 3.2ghz and this thing renders animations blazing fast if 8gb help a lot in photoshop 3ds max xsi maya and many other hi end applications and in the 3d animation world there is no such thing as to much ram

I believe the previous comment was making the case that if the OS (32 bit) cannot recognise and handle the ram there is little purpose to having huge amounts.

If the chipset cannot manage the ram, if the FSB is not up to what cpu and ram can process and distribute; there is little point to having more than what is required to get a particular task done.

I agree with the previous comment; If a 32bit OS such as XP/VISTA has issues address ram approaching and exceeding 4GB ; then why have it ?

games arent compatible with 64-bit OS? you need to do your research.

32-bit will support a total of 4GB RAM, which includes graphics and sound card RAM. 64-bit supports varying amounts. Home Basic = 8GB, Premium = 16GB, Business = 32GB, Ultimate = 128GB.

erm.. a 32-bit system will only support a maximal ammount of 4 gigs of ram. But it can only use 3-3,5 gigs of it..

if you have no video card then you can have 4gb system memory. if you have a 512mb card then it will only utilise 3.5gb system memory. if you have 2 512mb cards then it will only utilise 3gb system memory.
