to figure out the power of a 2 stroke u times the cc by 2. and 4 stokes u just leave it the same. thats why a 1999 cr 250 will beat a 2006 crf 450

wtf?? so a 250cc two stroke has 500hp? i think you seriously mis understood, the idea is that a two stroke makes double the power of a four stroke of the same capacity, because of the way the stroker makes it's power in 2 strokes not 4... that's on paper anyway, modern 450's out gun the stroker 250's it's sad but that's just the way it is.

the point that for example people says a 250 4 stroke is the same power that a 125 2 smoke isnt true, more recent 4 stokes can develop a lot of power and a 250 2 smoke wont handle it againt the 450 4s , i've been even trying a KTM 250 2smoke of my friend( 2007 I think) and my 250 crf 2004 and the ktm has just little bit more power than the crf I can stay behind him with my 4 strok, but against a 450, forget that ! I've been wanting to go on ktm 250 but since I want more power im gonna go crf450.

hondariderCR250 is right. even though 250F's race the same class as 125's the motor size tells everything. i had a YZ 125 i just sold yesterday that registered 34.5 HP on the dyno at Nmotion Yamaha when the '07 KX 250F and a few other 250 4-strokes made just over 26 HP. ironically i just sold it for a 250F :P no more mixing gas and oil or keeping it wrapped up but i kinda miss it

250F's and 250 2-strokes also have a class together now because they're only making the 250F's lighter, faster, and easier to ride, i just sold my YZ 250F for another 125 and i dont regret it at all. when we dyno'd my new 125, it got out 35.6 HP with the big bore kit and pipe and subtracted about 40lbs from a 250F. but when you use a 125 to its full potential, it is capable of ghosting 450's given the right track and conditions... i know people who have done it.

thats not really true if you take care of the dirtbike and dont hold it at the rev limiter you will never have any problems with it. i have a 2006 kx450f and have never had a problem with it. i dont ride it hard but im not easy on it either i change the oil every 2 rides and clean the air filter often.

yeah. well thats only because it was the honda dealer and they wont you to come in and get your bike worked on so they can make more money off of you. talk to a mechanic that you trust and theywont tell you that. if you go to any dealer they will say it need to be rebuilt often

there is a kicking point to start this crf bike,try to pump the starter until you here the clicking sound.that kicking point is just a few degree after that clicking point.once you found that kicking point,kick the starter as hard as possible...

The Idle that you hear is with the choke on. She never turned the choke off because the idle RPMS never dropped. The RPMs will always drop once the choke is off. And notive when she bend down as if she is turning the choke off...he stops her!

You guys really need to stop arguing about something this stupid. If the idle screw, air screw, or choke wasnt working right because this is a multi-fuel circuited carb, then it wouldnt kick first kick.

any bike does not have to have the choke on to start it as long as it aint cold. last winter my '99 YZ 144 started 1st or 2nd kick without the choke. an i thought i would point it out, KTM's are like trying to handle a bus into a corner. my buddy also got a brand new '08 SX-F 250 and blew it up before it even got out of the break-in period. now we both ride hondas =]
