Read my message below. Also they have a variety of different types of markers. If you're like me a few years back, and don't have a lot of money to spend on them. Simply get the ciao series. They're a couple bucks cheaper but don't come in as many colors ^^

They're just about the same price as prisma markers. So they're really not that expensive if you think about it. Also even though tthey're a little more expensive they're more worth it because of the refills. You can buy one and it's good to use up to about 12 times ^^

Copic markers ROCK!! In my area, we can only get Copic markers at the professional art stores (there are only about 3 in the metro area that carry Copics). To me, that makes it obvious that they are of professional grade! I'm a marker person, lol.

I'm told they were designed by Japanese artists as opposed to just some old engineer. It makes a difference if something is designed by someone who actually uses a given product.

You are right, you can airbrush, refill, replace tips and blend seamlessly with about 320 colors. Making them much less expensive than they may appear.
