Great Job Girls! I came across this video when looking for some moves to add to a Pacific Rhythm for my Zumba Class. I applaud your courage to get up in front of a crowd and dance at all. You are all beautiful and I hope what you took away from that experience was positive and will last always... Much Zumba Love.
you girls really dance gracefully, love it and you are all so beautiful and top it up with your dances.ignore the kind of rude comments that some of us put cause the fact is we can't do what you girls did on the stage.it was really awesome and beautiful!!!!
Big ups to the girls tryin to dance a cook island song...first and for most...the name of the song is Maine Kuki Arani...this song is not about the lords prayer as some one had commented its about Cook Island Princess..or a Cook Island Queen...BUt yeah its good that you girls can participate and dance a cook island dance...meitaki maata.
the song is called "maine kuki airani" by curly george.....but wen the lady explained it earlier was different from wat i heard the song is about, actually i heard it was the lord's prayer....hoi now i gotta go double check which is right
wat is the name of the song please ? and great job gurls stuff the haters! aint no pride in degrading others on attemping your cultural dances if anything should be honored and happy they tried and take a interest in ur cult dance!
If it was to raise money then good job....Had you been performing for real then obviously boooo. But if you tried your best and it was for a good cause then well done.
I'm an Aitutakian who discovered what "Hula" was when i was7yrs and at 13 i was asked to fill in for a multicultural festival for the high schools and aced the performance mix from Samoan to Cook Island, but it wasnt about getting it right it was about entertaining and having fun. Its hard to perform another cultural dance in front of a massive crowd or even just a small but in the end it was a privelege to dance cause im a polynesian with courage and thats just like these 3 beautiful girls too.
@Djpupplecum Remember that old polynesian saying, Dont tell people you are a chief, wait for people to say you are a chief, through humility, Ia Orana
aaww..please ISLAND SISTERS N BROTHERS let stand together as one by helping n encouraging one another.....our islands r jz very close to eachother n many of us have mix blood from another island...so please we r ONE, MICRONESIANS, POLYNESIANS, MELANESIANS. SHOW SUM FAMILY LOVE..CUM ON.. :)
wow this is the first time that i read all your comments!!! I'm one of the girls that performed and I had to jump on my cousins youtube user so I can comment. I really don't care what you think! Its not like we were in a contest or anything but to raise money for the youth group. You guys are so low! I would like to see you attempt on doing a Tongan dance...... we did good girls....
@uce87 You all were beautiful and graceful, this coming from an older Hula dancer...I grew up dancing Hula, Tahitian and Moari and loved what you put fourth you have awsome hearts and in the end that is what matters not a bunch of negative comments from people who don't even know you. God Bless
You should be honoured and proud that people of other cultures want to participate in your culture and take the time to learn an aspect of it, I got mad props for your culture love the dances be happy bro
@dineskeez in pacific islands we all share a great talent & a culture that values song & dance as a way to bring our people together. "Do your own culture dance"? ignorance- if they fail to top the bar of wat you think is da true way of dancing in da cook island. Atleast they tried- we R people of the pacific sharing our cultures 2 eachother & 2 da world. U shud be proud that Tongans wants 2 dance "your culture dance." u r a disgrace 2 wat da soul of the pacific islands & what we stand 4
Absolutely beautiful, I grew up dancing the tongan, samoan, tahitian, cook islands and fijian dancers and no matter what!!!! the dancers will always be so beautiful and wonderous especially in the story that the dancer tells you and the movements is so mersmarising I may have spelt that wrong, I just love the island dancing and music; it could bring peace to the whole world if they just watched and listened
why dont you delete the rest of these losers comment!!!! I know these three girls and dats my girl in the middle!!!! Tongan, Samoan, Cook Island yous are all the bloody same you bunch of idiots.........
Sheesh...What is up with our people.Every time some other Polys try some others culture some idiot always has to be hating.See it all the time with all Polynesian islands whether it be Hamo,Tongan,Raro,Maori etc...theres always someone with a stick up their arrse-hating on here.Dont hate appreciated cos if u put any Poly in a room with one another,we'll all act like we long lost brothers.
wow dis was awesum yuz did really good...lurv dis song too... dont mind the haters... not like they can do the tongan dance anyways LOL! if the roles wer reversed on them hahaha,,,

@Haylebabez hater!!! Tongans, Cook Islands, Samoans, Tahitians, Hawaiians all those different culturals eventually in most cases join together to perform a mix of cultural dancing they arent familiar with but they/we all do it with passion for where we come from which is the Pacific Islands so if you think about it we make each other shine when we join as one! Dont hate-appreciate!
