@maiskorn123 But BC2 has helicopters! You can freelook with mouse when hold Ctrl (which also disables steering - making it useless). Flying with a head tracking would be much more fun.

Does the camera 'snap' back into position when you get close to the default location or are you free looking the entire time? It just looks like it would make aiming using the in game markers really difficult (though it looks really fun).

So, after about 6 hours of thinking today, I finally got freetrack, works great. But it won't work in BF2. Is there another program I need in order for it to work?

I think you still need to enable "mouselook", like left-control. There's some confusion around whether mouse look disables the control of the aircraft and if there's a way around this, i'm not sure but I really want to find out.

but you can't steer the vehicle whilst freelooking in bf2. - is there a fix for that?

@Eavind FreeTrack and TrackIR are separate from the ingame freelook. Basicly, with TrackIR/FreeTrack you have something attached to your real life head and when you look around it moves the camera. It's legit and really makes a huge difference in air combat/ground combat gameplay. I have only seen videos of them so far, so I'm only saying what others say, not from personal experience.

Looks good and smooth. Will it be like this in ArmA too? I've made the FreeTrack v 2.1 6 DOF and it works pretty good in that game, I wonder what improvements you've done with this latest release. :D
