@22Travail What seperates this from todays FPS is that it goes for the old school gameplay a lot of people loved(quake, doom, painkillers, Serious Sam, Unreal tournament). No regenerating health, no cover and if there is it can destroyed easily and last for a few seconds, fast paced, multiple weapons, hordes of fast enemies being thrown at you, etc. While todays FPS are heavily scripted, slower paced, heavily cover based, regenerating health etc.

PC is a superior gaming machine because it can do and handle things that no console could ever hope to achieve. The downside, however, is the high cost. The money that goes into a high-end rig could've also gone into a new console and 14 new games for it. But the difference is, with a PC, you get the opportunity to not just play the game and rack up useless achievements or trophies, but to enjoy the game to its fullest potential.

Also, mods which don't require illegal hardware changes...

PC is best suited for some genres (FPS and RTS for example) but I don't see no classic games such as Ninja Gaiden (3rd person action, xbox) or many other japanese games from stuff such as Arcades or other platforms that hadn't been emulated (yet). Console gaming has its strengths and it is my belief that no hardcore all around gamer can be without some arcade, PC and console gaming experience.

I also don't have the money to buy a good gaming PC. @Mdschannel I'm a console gamer and if I wan't to build a pc that'll play battlefield bad company on max settings they are saying I'll need a 6 core processor, 8gb's or ram, two gt560's in sli. That's A LOT of money. We're talking around $1100. I mean, that system would kick ass for about 3 years... but thats it. Consoles last longer and games get perfected by developers since they make games for consoles over and over and over. I love the pc, but there are just more games on console

@gregmc3 My PC has 4 GB ram, Athlon 640 quad processor and a 5670 with 512 MB. with shadows on medium, 0 aa, 8 ASF and everthing else on high and on i run BC2 on 50-60 fps in 1360x768 screen res. The PC cost me 750$ to build 1 and a half year ago. Now you should be able to get a phenom quad, and a 6770 in for the same prize. That will do 1920x1080 no problem. 4GB ram is more than enough. Those specs are bullshit, exept if you are doint 3D vision surround or something.

Console players are at the same level everywhere and don't have to upgrade every two years or so. For this reason a console is a lot more economical than a PC.
