@Dalesr4ever I like Jr., but it's too bad he's not getting a whole lot done with HMS. I thought it was going to be big after Junebug won the Bud Shootout in an HMS car, but he just hasn't reached what people expected out of him. I think he's still got some talent though. He just needs to figure how to close the deal.

@nascarfanatic2425 yeah he does. But he's hardly doing anything. yeah he's in the chase this year but needs to start being the jr that he was in 2004. 6 wins and almost a championship but he let that slip away. He still has the talent but he could use more push out of Hendrick.

@Dalesr4ever I don't think it's any lack of talent or any slacking from HMS; I think he just needs to get that motivation he had in 2004 when he was doing great. That year was just incredible for him, to say the least. He gets burned in a crash at Infineon, comes back to make the chase, was so consistent up until he ran his mouth at 'Dega. That seemed to be the turning point. He seemed to have that motivation when he was in the Bud Shootout of 08. Now he needs to get his "eye of the tiger" back.

@Dalesr4ever I agree. I'd hate to compare Jr. to Rocky III but the 2004 Dale Jr. compared to the Dale Jr. today is like Rocky in Rocky II into Rocky III. He needs the eye of the tiger back. He had it at one point in 2004, and it's THAT Jr. I wanna see again, not just a guy who wins the most popular driver award but is constantly criticized. He needs to show a new reason why he's NASCAR's most loved driver. Not just be the Intimidator's son, but be Dale Jr. the racer.
