I was at both. I think that you are wrong. 97 was a communal attempt to transcend the mud, water, cold and shit. Jonny's guitar took the world for Radiohead . By 2003 the world was theirs anyway.

The soundboard bootleg makes it more obvious, have never heard a better guitar performance.

This live version is better than the album which is a true feat for any artist. Does anyone else get chills down their spine when Thom raises his voice during the 2nd verse, "It's gonna beeeeeeee a glorrrriiiioouuuuussss daayyyyyyyyyyyyy. I feel my luck could change." I love that part.

how incredible is this band?  this is the night that a lot of things broke down during the set and they were close to flying blind, and they were STILL spot on and played one of the best gigs of their lives. amazing doesn't do them justice.
