Monsters Inc is better but anyone think how it doesnt match the theme of where its located, Monsters Inc is in Hollywood section of DCA lol but oh well
I say both rides are about the same: dull and boring. I hate how the Monsters Inc animatronics are just bobbing their heads in the same fashion as Superstar Limo. If they want to make this ride better: revamp it to Tokyo Disney's Ride & Go Seek!
wow this is a very moving video... I remember this ride when I was a kid and now I remember this ride better than what I did with the other ride thanks!
Now i wanna go on Superstar Limo...:( But ya Monsters Inc. was pretty fun for sure...it's just a dark ride like this usually don't impress as many people.
man if only they could have made the superstar limo into a rollercoaster like the rock'n'rollercoaster at mgm studios. but i like the monsters inc ride. just think the rollercoaster could've be cool.
You can't quite tell in the video, but much of the old stationary 'puppet' celebs are still in the Monsters Inc. ride, only dressed up as the CDA hazmat-suited monsters.
why, They even kept in a camera system so Roz can comment on the riders...
that was a great great video i would give it 6 stars if i could. i never realized it not only followed the same track, but used the same animatronic if i can call them that, for the people/monsters.
This video sure makes me appreciate the change that they did. They sure did a good job especially considering their constraints of the footprint and ride style.
Nice job! I didn't realize they reused the Superstar Limo ride system for Monsters, Inc. Was the first installation of Monsters, Inc. at Disney MGM Studios, in the former Superstar Limo location? I didn't have much recollection as to what Superstar Limo was like, and I think it's one I may have failed to record due to my battery running out when I went there, so it was cool to see it again.
The ride system and layout reuse I found more surprising than this was Dinosaur (at Disney's Animal Kingdom) reusing Indiana Jones. I'm pretty sure I do have footage of that -- perhaps I should make a side-by-side video like yours.
Yeah, I know they only had Superstar Limo at Disney MGM Studios -- my question was whether Monsters, Inc. went in at Disney MGM before (or simultaneously with, or after) the one in DCA (if you happen to know).
I read something about a new Monsters, Inc. comedy club attraction being built in WDW, so maybe they've never had the Mike & Sulley To The Rescue ride over there, even though it used Superstar's track system?
No. Superstar Limo was NEVER at Disney MGM Studio!!!! It was at Disney's California Adventure and Monsters Inc. was built over what was left of Superstar Limo. Superstar Limo only lasted a year before it closed down. Now let me repeat that. They never had a Superstar Limo ride at Disney MGM Studio.
Ah, I see. I was confused by your original self-contradictory comment "Superstar Limo was only at DCA, it was never at DCA".
Guess I was misremembering as to where I went on the ride since it lasted such a short time and I only went on it once.
BTW, is that your own footage of Superstar Limo? It'd be cool if you could post a non-side-by-side version so it'd be possible to see this lost ride a little better.
Monsters Inc, Mike and Sulley to the Rescue is way better than Superstar Limo. That is a great ride to go on at Disney's California Adventure. It is one of the best.
Ok. Superstar Limo was half-assed to begin with, but Monster's Inc. is even worse. Why does the Monetr's inc. ride even exist? It's lame. This video was good though.
Neither one of the attractions is good. Something needs to replace Monsters, Inc. sooner rather than later.

0:52 that's a beauty? She's covered in hair! Ahahaha! Why did they make the AAs for Monsters Inc in the same form as Superstar Limo?
LEGOMaster56 6 months ago
@LEGOMaster56 They didn't even make new AAs. They just covered the Superstar Limo AAs with new skins. Sad :(

In the end, Ariel's Undersea Adventure is the best dark ride at California Adventure.

Superstar Limo was only at DCA, it was never at DCA. Monsters Inc was basically a permanent overlay.
