omg!!! this is amazing!!!! this is such a hugeeee difference!!! he just looks so much more muscular now u have done such a fabulous job with this horse!!!! o.m.g.
aw thank you! it wasn't just me though. lol. his extreme progress is partially due to the fact that he's so smart and willing. he tries his heart out. haha
At about 2:25-2:26 you catch him in his mouth, pretty forgiving horse, my horse would land "kicking and screaming" so to speak , if I landed like that.
Yes thanks. I know. If you read the description you would see that I said no critique. I have a trainer, this was my 2nd time riding him, and I hadn't done a bounce it like 4 months. I normally don't catch my horses in the mouth. If I did they wouldn't jump for me now would they?
Not any of him and I yet :( But I'm going to get some this Friday when I have my lesson and I'll post them!!!! He's really starting to develop a frame, and bend on the right (he couldn't at ALL before)! He will also jump anything you put in front of him as long as you sit back. I've rode him with only a halter in a new place, through a creek, woods and next to other horses and he doesn't even spook! It just goes to show you that hard work pays off!!! I've put my heart and soul into him!!!
That would be really cool! haha. It will probably be a while before I do any horse trials though. If we do anything this summer it will just be some little local shows. Thanks! He is so much fun. Today he really seemed to be realizing that I was his new mommy. He would follow me whenever I walk past his stall, and he would stick his head out of his stall looking for me. He's so cute! Do you have any videos of your pony?
yeah, I completley understand!!!! When I say sit back, I mean at the canter and before the jumps. Before jumps you lean forward as if the jump is a giant magnet. Congrats on getting a project! That's what my pony is! projects are better because the horse is more intuned to the rider who teaches him. Because I also bought a green horse (well pony) he and I are now connecting nicely. He looks like he has a lot of promise!!!! You both will go far!!!! I'm also going to train my pony for eventing!!!
OH! I was 2-pointing. haha. My trainer wanted him to get used to the feel of it. Thanks! My trainer really likes him. This video doesn't do him justice. If we hadn't bought him she was thinking about getting him for herself. Good luck with your pony! Maybe we will see each other at some shows eventually!
He's so cute!!!! what do you want to do with him? btw Once you start really training him, make sure to work on his frame. Also you want to make sure you sit back, especially when riding a green horse. Good luck with him and keep me posted on his progress!!!
I'm going to do eventing and some h/j too. He isn't getting in a frame because he is still learning to accept contact. He was broken as a HUS horse, so he likes to have no contact and no engage his hind end. We are just working on getting him to accept contact for now. I know I need to sit back more. Are you talking about at the trot or canter? His movement is so weird compared to what I'm used to!! haha. It's going to take some getting used to.
that view is INCREDIBLE!
