Man these always scared me. I did gymnastics for 8 years and stopped the year after we started doing release moves and stuff on high bar because at one meet we watched a kid try a release move and whack his head on the bar and completely crack his head open. Then my teammate was doing a double back like this kid and pretty much did the same thing except his back landed more on the bar and they said if he would have gotten hit an inch lower he would have been paralyzed for life.
