  • one of the things i miis the most in the 2 newest bond movies is all the high tech spy gadgets wich they removed from casino royale and quantum of solace. they are more like sony comeracals then movies

  • Timothy dalton was a great bond! Shame all the troubles prevented him from doing a 3rd outing

  • Tim Dalton is brilliant as Bond shame he only did one more.

  • worst bond ever: timothy dalton.

Worst bond movie ever: licence to kill. 3rd worst :the living daylights

  • superb moovie presentation, england is very smart

  • No more Roger Moore? :(

  • one of my favourite bond movie :)

  • Such a classic Bond movie.

  • I tought he did a pretty decent job replacing Roger Moore who was a tough act to follow.

  • What is this song name? 0:36

  • @akumankka ''Airbase Jailbreak'' by John Barry.

  • The Living Daylights best Bond movie

  • moore is to over rated im gonna watch this and give dalton a chance even thpo i think brosnan is the best

  • You know what the best thing about the Minister character was. He spoke in a series of grunts.

  • Dalton stayed more true to the character, after years of Roger Moore.

  • I'm just watching this so I know what to look forward to when I get it on DVD

  • I think that the greates James Bond ever is Daniel Craig! this is just shit!

  • Best Bond Ever.

  • @TheOrangeGrandMaster Thanks for the feedback!

  • @MrKasperQ Great Trailer as expected since your my neighbor :D

  • @TheOrangeGrandMaster No, I didn't win. There were a lot of good trailers. But this video is by far my most seen video - ever!

(MrKasperQ is my new account now, please subscribe!)

  • This, and For Your Eyes Only in my opinion are the top Bond movies of the 80's.

  • i watched all of these :)

  • With timothy dalton bond becomes more serious.

This film is one of the great action films of the 80's.

    Lots of action and fun.

    9/10

  • Living Daylights - most elegant and european bond film.

  • I don't care what anyone says, Dalton was the best Bond

  • @littletimeuk I agree at least interpretation wise.

  • All Bond movies are gorgeous. All are fantastic. Great movies: Goldfinger, The Living Daylights, The Man with the Golden Gun, Die Another Day...and, of course, License to Kill (my favorite).Best song: A view to a Kill, by Duran Duran (Paul Mc Cartney´s Live and let die is great, too...TLD, by A-Ha, is so cool). Sean Connery: brave, brilliant.George Lazenby:a hard-to-die man.Roger Moore: funny and intelligent Bond. Tim Dalton:the coldest and darkest (best?) Bond. Brosnan: so glamorous!

  • @bogotadream1982 but why do they have to support afgan people in this movie they are terroirsts

  • Dalton is DEF one of the most UNDERRATED Bonds. Like alot of people said he was very true to the bond books and IMO I think he was almost a prototype for Craigs bond.

  • this and license to kill are both some of the best bond movies, i dont think dalton was a bad bond at all,lol anyone know why the same actor that trys to kill bond in this movie is also in goldeneye?

  • This one was really ahead of it's time. I watched it on VHS when I was a kid, read a lot of Fleming in college, and it took until Casino Royale came out until I was satisfied I was seeing his real Bond again.

  • pretty good

  • love the music in this trailer/movie

  • i used to live in 2 of the places in Gibraltar at the start of the film(devils tower camp& Europa point) Europa point is a great place for fishing(next to the lighthouse)i miss it a lot,but i prefer northern spain to gib!

  • 0:35 great trailer entrance... even better than todays..

  • 1988 Aston Martyn V8 Vantage<3

  • by far the greatest bond movie ever

  • Timothy Dalton was ahead of his time.By chance or skill he saw that the spy thriller of the future needed the realism of the past. Before Bourne or Ryan or any of the other "new breed" of operatives Bond in his original form was tough, ruthless and able to take a kicking.Just like Daniel Craig and everyone else does now.Difference is...Daniel Craig looks bloody good doing it as Bond!

  • @apa37 Great statement!

  • 1: Dalton

    2: Brosnan

    3: Moore

    4: Sean Connery

Top 4 Bonds in my opinion.

  • Whats the music that kicks in at roughly 1:00?

  • @sinimini The music piece from 1:00 you have in mind is the one that starts from about 0:34 - it is a part of the soundtrack score called 'Airbase Jailbreak', which can be found on the soundtrack! =)

  • fuck it -i hate how action movies give away the best stunts in the trailer. Luckily I saw this trailer afterwards, but if i had seen this first, the movie wouldn't nearly have been as good.

Also, this is my second favourite movie after casino royale

  • @gouzbekistan Sorry about that.

  • @gouzbekistan this was a fake trailer, not the real one.

  • Nobody has done it better. Timothy Dalton is James Bond.

  • In my opinion, Timothy Dalton is the best Bond ever. This is strictly because of his performance on The Living Daylights.

True to the novels, and like Ian Fleming.

  • @Wadsy591 your intitled to your own opinions,

but not to your own facts.INSULTING ME IN

PERSON I WISH YOU WOULD BOY!But any

one can your that mouth over the computer.

I dont have to have anything on you my friend.

Your facts are not there, and dont makesense.

When people dont makesense I will correct

them.Again my friend YOU GOT OWNED!!!!!!!

  • @58fenix

Alright. I can clearly see that you are deliberately trying to put me down for your own satisfaction. Why you have decided to do so I do not understand.

You're like one of those people, probably a teen who has been practicing verbal arguments and winning at them all your life.

You started this obviously by insulting an opinion, or factI made in the past regarding TLD. Who are u to tell me that I am not a Bond fan.

Fuck u, u can't win if this is some kind of sick twisted game of urs.

  • @Wadsy591 you think I care about what you think

about dalton.Hey idiot I like TLD and lTK!I dont like

dalton cause he sucked. What are you talking about

that I dont have anyone to back me up?Hey,we are

on a page that supports dalton so there are more

people here who believe dalton was a success and

was'nt.I'm not trying to attack you I'm telling you that

your wrong on your facts.this is'nt about who's backing

you, this is about were is your facts that you are right.

  • @Wadsy591 YOU HAVE NONE TO BACK UP YOUR

ANSWERS.Did dalton do more bond films then any

other bond NO!Fact!Did he nail the role?NOFact!Does

Connery and Moore like him!NO!Fact!Did LTK and TLD

break any box office records!NO!Fact!Do people who are

not bond fans know Dalton as bond!NO!Fact! And another

fact for you brosnan was suppose to do bond in the 80's

in the first place. So they had to go with someone and picked

him instead and thought he was going to pull off a connery

    and moore!

  • @58fenix

Well I do agree with you that non Bond fans wouldn't be aware of him or his movies, that's a fact, unfortunately. Connery and Moore looked different from each other as well, I guess they all did. Though, Moore always did have many similarities to Pierce Brosnan in my opinion.

I heard that Timothy Dalton was the original choice for Bond in 1987 following Moore's retirement, but he couldn't so they turned to Brosnan, who was in Remington Steele at the time. So Dalton was asked yet again

  • @Wadsy591 Here's something else you probably did'nt

know.Dalton was confronted after connery was done

and his contract was up.The problem was he was too

young.I'm glad in my opinion that, that did'nt happen

because you know right after connery you have to play

bond ver well and moore was the man to do it.I dont

believe dalton could have pulled it off.Just because

his performance in the 80's.At that time in the 70's

    that time matter.

  • @58fenix

Thats right. For OHMSS, but Dalton declined stating he was too young. I watched NecroVMX's review of The Living Daylights here and he said that Dalton had true dedication to the character, which I believed. Nah, you're right, Dalton playing Bond at that age just would not have been good.

I believe Dalton should have started playing Bond in A View To A Kill, as Moore was too old by then (loved AVTAK though). Some people reckon Dalton would have suited Octopussy, I don't think so.

  • @Wadsy591 Actually a lot of people did suit for the role.

James brolin was one of them he screen tested for the

role.He actually did a great job.But Broccoli felt that

people would'nt accept him because he was to

american. But he was awesome though. But for

dalton I dont know it that happen or not.may be a

    rumour.

  • @Wadsy591 Who knows what would have happened to

bond. There would be no brosnan or craig and bond

would just be connery and thats it.Think about playing

bond is a very very important role and if your not some

kind of threat, then you will not work.Thats what happen

to dalton and lazenby. You dont play bond you have to

become it and there's something about you, that you

have in real life that fits your persanalty to play bond.

  • @58fenix

To play Bond, but since the movie he was in had just ended, Dalton accepted the role and began almost immediately.

This is strictly my opinion but although he was no Connery and Moore, he was himself. His performance on The Living Daylights made me like him over the other actors to play Bond, but I didn't like him anywhere near as much on LTK

To me, Connery, Moore and Dalton are the better Bonds. Craig is decent, but doesn't look the part, Brosnan is OK and Lazenby... hmm. Not bad.

  • @Wadsy591 Well here's why I like craig and I know a lot of

people tak about his look.Look he is a completly different

view for bond.I like craig because he looks like a badd ass

assassain in the 30's and 40's that was a real life commander.

Go to the libary and look at those real life generals.I had read

a book on generals and saw top generals and could see craig

in those photos. The man looks like he could kill and thats the

kind of sind he brings to bond.A more darker bond and it works.

  • @58fenix

Oh right. Well if eliminate the fact that Craig has blonde hair, I'll probably consider him more memorable, and more of a great Bond actor. Besides, Moore's hair wasn't really dark on his films so I don't know.

I did like his darker edge, thats where he's like Dalton. I've always preferred him over Brosnan, more believable in my eyes.

I guess I never really considered looking at major Bond photos and identifying the actor who most looks like the one in the pictures.

  • @Wadsy591 Well thats the thing people were upset

about.Him having blonde hair to me who cares that

did'nt bother me one bit.Moore went through the same

thing. They said his hair was to long.People always

have something to complain about. To me and what

we should do is give it a chance and see what happens.

You might like it.Never judge a book by its cover.Look

if there is one thing I liked about dalton he did a great

job in action.Cause most of that was him!

  • @58fenix

Yeah, well besides Craig's hair color, he does a terrific job in the role just as Connery, Moore and Dalton did.

Regarding your comment there about Dalton's action, I still would have loved him in A View To A Kill. I love the film the way it is now, but to me had Dalton done it would be my fav. Dalton against Christopher Walken and Grace Jones, what a battle.

Just out of curiosity, what are your top five and worst five Bond films?

  • @Wadsy591 Well I really could'nt tell you what are my top

worst and my top best because I would have to think about

it.But I do have my favorites in connery, moore and brosnan.

    Connery:FRWL

    Moore:FYEO

    Brosnan:GE

And for craig its still to early to tell I what to wait tell

his third one come out and then I 'm make a statement.

I did like the TLD.It was a sick badd ass action flick.

But my favorite bond film of all time is FRWL!

  • @58fenix

Indeed, From Russia With Love is a great Bond film, I agree. Definitely my favorite from the Connery era and well ahead of Goldfinger. The scene at the Gypsy Camp along with the train and boat scenes were outstanding. The Bond girl still remains one of my best. At this stage I'd give the film an 8.5/10. It took a long time for me to grow into FRWL, but its finally happened.

BEST and WORST movie from each actor IMO:

Connery - Best: FRWL Worst: DAF

Moore - Best: FYEO Worst: TMWTGG

  • @Wadsy591 I actually liked Diamonds are forver.But

TMWTGG was okay.I liked Scaramanga.I thought he

    was a cool character.But I did'nt find a view to kill

that interesting and DAD cost bronsan his job.As

my favorite bond girl it goes to Titiana, but as far as

beautiful it goes to jane seymour the solatairy.

  • @58fenix

Diamonds was just a bit campy for me, and not in a good way. Connery didn't want to do it, and it was easily clear while watching. Moore's first 2 outings are my least favorite of the ones he did, though LALD is above average.

Best Bond girls to me.. The one in FRWL, an amazing girl, Melina on FYEO, Kara Milovy from TLD and Vesper from CR.

I agree that Solitaire beautiful, but thats about all from her.

To this day, AVTAK remains the most underrated. I loved it, despite Moore's age.

  • @Wadsy591 Yeah you can tell connery was tired from

bond when he did you only live twice and DAF!They

neede him to come back to save the franchise so

they can find someone that could take the role in a

new and different direction.Live and let die was

brilliant especially the villians. It was cool and new.

Remember your first bond film has to be great for

people to accept you and LALD was brilliant.

  • Comment removed

  • @58fenix

Apart from the Craig films, the first Bond films I ever saw were Dr No, The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill in that order. I can't remember the others, though I'm pretty sure that A View To A Kill came fifith.

  • @Wadsy591 Yeah but what I'm saying is for the people.

When we find out whos the new bond,we critisize you

on your first. If its not great then there's a strong

possibility you are not doing anymore!Thats what happen

with lazenby! To me dalton had a second chance!

  • @58fenix

Exactly. George Lazenby not coming back for a second attempt was for the better in my opinion. He was no James Bond, which is why On Her Majesty's Secret Service is not my favorite in the series, but one of them.

Dalton did not perform nearly as well in Licence To Kill and he did on this, in my opinion, but he still could have had AVTAK or two early 90's Bond films. There was supposed to be one for 1991 called The Properly Of A Lady to star Dalton, but it was somehow cancelled. Shame.

  • @Wadsy591 I've been hearing about this Property of a

lady and were did it come from I dont even think it was

    a novel.I can see you like a view to a kill a lot.Mayday

    was a cool wierd looken character.And there's a lot

about lazenby that you probably dont know about.Lets

just say he was no actor.

  • @58fenix

Yeah, AVTAK is heavily criticised, and yes I do consider it one of the very best, especially once the film turns to San Francisco about half way in.

Licence To Kill was the only 80's Bond film that I didn't really like that much, because of the plot, acting and the missing elements that keep it from being a Bond movie.

Lazenby was OK, but how come you say he was no actor? I mean I know he didn't appear on anything major before Majesty's but just wondering.

  • @Wadsy591 He's not a actor.He lied his way into tricking

his way to be bond and they thought he was someone

that had a lot of experince in acting. And thats the whole

point to what I'm saying. He never did anything important

before because he tricked albert broccolli and harry

saltzman into thinking he was a actor.I liked LTK and

liked sanchez which is my favorite villian.

  • @58fenix

Nah, Lazenby didn't really do it for me either. I don't care much for him, Brosnan or Craig but Connery, Moore and Dalton to me were excellent. Picking a top five now, it would go

For Your Eyes Only, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, A View To A Kill, From Russia With Love and The Living Daylights.

  • @Wadsy591 -what one did the british have an office in a sunken ship in the hong kong bay?i liked that one!

  • @Bdiddly1

The Man With The Golden Gun. That funnily enough is my second least favorite Bond film, but all the same, there were some good scenes in it, like that one for example.

  • @58fenix

Dalton - Best: TLD Worst: LTK

Brosnan - Best: GE Worst: DAD

My top five films at this stage are:

    1. FYEO 2. OHMSS 3. CR 4. TSWLM 5. MR, AVTAK & LTD

    Bottom five:

    1. DAD 2. TMWTGG 3. DAF 4. TB 5. LTK

  • @Wadsy591 WOW!You did'nt like thunderball.WOW!

Suprised.Thats one of connerys best to me.Connery

had mentioned that, thats one of his favorites.

  • @58fenix

Just wasn't very memorable to me, I don't know.

  • @Wadsy591 Thats another fact!I could go on and on!Unless

you dont have facts on why he is that good then your facts mean

nothng. The only thing you said was he is the geatest bond

in your opinion which is ridiculous to me.Like I said I dont

care if you like him or not if you like him then fine thats your

opinion but when you call people idiots because people

dont like a BOND THAT ONLY DID TWO MOVIES THAT

SUCKED!Is a insult to real bond fans and to me.so next

    time check yourself!

  • @58fenix

Yeah.. I apologise for having ever written that comment regarding people who consider Dalton being below 4th on their Bond ranks are idiots. I removed it yesterday.

  • @Wadsy591 Yeah man its cool, you were just speaking

your mind. You like dalton and there's nothing wrong with

that.Everyones different my friend we all have are on

    opinions.

  • @58fenix

    - lol, I seriously wonder what you of all people would consider 'getting owned. Like I previously said, you have got no supporters, no one to back you up on this plague of yours.

I love James Bond, and consider 'The Living Daylights' to be one of the best in the series, along with FRWL, OHMSS, TSWLM, MR, FYEO, AVTAK and CR. Mr Dalton is my favorite Bond actor and if thats why you're insulting me, so be it. It wouldn't be the first time, but I reckon Timothy Dalton did the best job.

  • @Wadsy591 thank you - agree completly

  • @Wadsy591 It's a shame he didn't do a third Bond movie - if only they did Casino Royale for the thirtieth anniversary that would have been brilliant with Dalton. However, Daniel Craig's debut is the best Bond ever in my very humble opinion.

  • @Wadsy591 Living Daylights is probably the most epic of all the Bond movies! Licence to Kill was the most hardcore! Old TD was the best far! So far beyond Craig it's sad!

  • @Wadsy591 yes it's the best james bond with no doubt

  • Comment removed

  • I saw it at the cinema when it was out, loved it!! still think its a good Bond and Dalton was a GOOD Bond, he played it more like the characters in the books! I think people got too use to Moores humour

  • @Fender1976uk No its not that, its just that moore did

a very good job after connery.Bond is suppose to be

someone important and someone interesting. If brosnan

wa able to play bond at that time he would have ended up

doing more than 4 bond flicks and everything would have

been fine. But they had no choice they had to pick dalton.

  • Girl with cello is my most favorite Bond girl. This film was made in 1987 at the height of Cold War. You know, just saying this can get you gang stalked in the U.S. these days because some redneck at your Sheriff/ PD will think you know too much so he's gotta spend $2 million to find out how and why..!?! Do look up "gang stalking" on YouTube.

  • Great performance as Bond by Timothy Dalton who has to be in the top three best Bonds ever. Great supporting cast with a very sexy Darbo.

  • @bobgrantsbus I would'nt say his performance was great

but the film was awesome.I think when it came down to

action he did a great job but as bond I did'nt see a threat

to what bond is suppose to have. What is your other two

    that you like?

  • @58fenix Favourite Bonds have to be 1.Sean Connery 2. Pierce Brosnan 3. Timothy Dalton 4. Daniel Craig 5. Roger Moore 6. George Lazenby. Thought that Dalton brought a very edgy performance to the franchise.

  • @bobgrantsbus Will thats cool I respect your opinion!

  • @bobgrantsbus You have to give it up to connery

and moore. They both started it off.

  • @58fenix Grew up watching Roger and he battled my favourite villian Jaws but is borderline cheese for my tastes.

  • @bobgrantsbus So that means you grew up in a real

good time for bond.I grew up watching brosnan my

favorite. But as my favorite villian its sanchez!

  • @58fenix Good choices.

  • This is my favorite Bond movie.

  • Dalton was the man... Daniel Craig is doing what Dalton did.... And i love Craig's Bond

  • epic james bond title. one of the badguys as a milkman with exploding milkbottles. niiice

  • And that, is why learning the wolf-whistle is important!!!

  • Dalton was brilliant. The most criminally underrated Bond along with Lazenby, IMO.

  • The Living Daylights is what brought back the Sean Connery style back into James Bond

  • I know everyone will disagree with me but I thought the part when Bond interviewed Pushkin at gunpoint was the single greatest acting performance I've ever seen in a Bond movie and no one could do pull it off better than Dalton!

  • @jaranarm I truly love that scene.

  • @jaranarm . it was a good scene. and dalton is far underrated for my liking.he was a great bond. he should of done more bond films.

  • @jaranarm "Then I must die." Great scene from one of my top three Bond films.

  • @jaranarm It's the most underrated scene. Roger Moore was good, Connery was good, Brosnan was good, Craig is ok, Lanzeby is ok, but Dalton is underrated.

  • @jaranarm Needs more publicity for this movie.

  • @jaranarm Dalton is my favourite Bond!

  • @jaranarm "so i have to die"....in fact buddy,l simply PERFECT...like the whole movie..;))

  • @jaranarm I must say, it is very well done. And I dont know, why some people hate Dalton? I think he made Bond more "real", but not too much. :) Too bad today's Bond isn't Bond at all.... :(

  • @jaranarm That is a food scene. PERSONALLY I think his best scene was the airplane scene.

  • @JudasAngel666

The airplane scene was great too but I was judging on the basis of acting dialogue.

  • @jaranarm Okay yeah...But IDK man that scene in Liscence to kill where he coldly kills the one guy is REALLY good.(Espically for acting.)

  • @JudasAngel666

I did like that one too. Dalton had many great scenes.

  • @jaranarm Especially that line "Correct, You should have brought lillies" when Pushkin assumed it wasn't a social call.

  • The Living Daylights - HEAVY man. Absolute classic. TD is def the best and hardest Bond evey. I could be biased as TLD was the first Bond movie I watched in full.

  • Daniel Craig & Pierce Broslin do not fit the original mold of James Bond.....

  • Actaully daniel craig is just as close too the novels as Dalton was

  • اطنجة يالعالية

  • One of my favorite James Bond movies!

  • Great video

  • Irs really sad that only he has got only 2 films to potray as James Bond. He is such great actor and his action is so realistic and natural. I think what today Daniel Craig is doing has been done long before by Timothy Dalton. He is the truest James Bond of all. I wish I could see him one more time as James Bond.

  • Timothy Dalton would have been good if he had some good fight scenes. He only had one and it was terrible.

  • Comment removed

  • Good review of a-ha's career and demise...

music-news com a-ha retire after 25 years and not a moment too soon!

    Zip

  • The only thing I didn't like at all about Timothy Dalton was his delivery of the "Bond.. James Bond" line. Especially in the opening scene on the boat. Other than that, he is probably my 2nd favorite Bond behind Daniel Craig.

  • The film itself is brilliant, but this trailer makes it seem uteerly boring!

  • This film is the one I think Ian Fleming would've loved the best.

  • THE BEST BOND EVER - my personal favourite (also Dalton is the best Bond actor). This is what BOND movies should always be like :-)

  • nice trailer

  • Comment removed

  • for your eyes only, big meh!

  • Even though I love Timothy Dalton as Bond, better than any other and his first performance 'The Living Daylights', if he was on 'A View To A Kill', it would have made that movie possibly the best James Bond movie, but I still love AVTAK as it is. I don't really like Licence To Kill that much.

  • One of my favorite 007 movies.

I think Pierce Brosnan made the best Bomb, Timothy Dalton second.

The new guy is by far the worst.

  • This is my favorite Bond movie ever.

  • You must not have seen "A View To A Kill".

  • Timoty Dalton...

    a wolf....

  • This movie is so underrated. I love this one!

  • @spyder1138 I agree, best bond movie ever

  • This was one of the best damn Bond Movies I have ever watched.

  • nice!

  • Ahhh the memories...

  • i saw this film, it was very good

the best part was the car, easily the best bond car

  • ps also best bond car

  • The best Bond movie ever!

Okay, Daniel Craig is good and he brought Bond back, but this has that special something.

  • why the hell do you all hate Moore? He was supposed to play in the Connery films but was unavailable...

  • My favorite line in this movie: "Watch the birdie you bastard!"

  • Dalton is the best bond fact

  • Brosnan not Bronson :o

  • i would rate my favorite Bond to the one who closest resembled Fleming Bond from the novels.

    1 Dalton

    2 Craig

    3 Connery

    4 Bronson

    5 Lazenby

    6 Moore

  • 1. Dalton

    2. Moore

    3. Connery

    4. Craig

    5. Brosnan

    6. Lazenby

  • Trade Moore with Craig and right on.

  • this is how i rank bond

    1.Connery

    2. Dalton

    3. Moore

    4. Craig

    5. Lazenby

    6. Brosnan

  • why should bonds be judged on how similar they are to the bonds in the novels....instead of how effective they are in the role as actors?

  • @Wadsy591 Very true.

  • This is a bond movie, they are very different from the novels. But I guess the viewer ofcourse has the right to decide the aspect from which he "rates" bond movies.

  • @Wadsy591 agreed. personally, dalton is my fave.

  • actually i have never seen tim daltons james bond movies, how was he as james bond?

  • @xhrajo1 Not so great! But TLD is brilliant!

  • @Wadsy591 I agree with you about Dalton but I'm going to be honest and say the novels shouldn't be how to gauge a good Bond film is at this point.

  • @Wadsy591 I agree with your comment Timothy Dalton was the best bond..shame he didn't make anymore.

  • @Squab1972 If he was the best bond he would have

    done at least 6!

  • @58fenix My sentiments exactly
