First if all, amazing interview with david finch. I think it was a smart answer from finch that there was nothing he wanted to add to the mythos in batman because, of you think about it nearly all the greatest comic book writers and artists haved worked on Batman, Alan Moore, Neal Adams, Frank miller, geof loeb ( when he was good).

I can remember listening to a comic book reviewer on a podcast saying that many comic book writers do not like write batman because all the greats have been on it.

@iqy92 I am loving Batman Inc, but I want Grant Morrison to do stories like 'Ghothic' (LOTDK #6-10) again. It seems that writers like Geoff Johns, Brian Michael Bendis and even Jeph Loeb make their careers out of blowing up the status quo to shock readers, but NOT delivering on the goods. Morrison delivers, but I'd still prefer Batman's old status quo.

What's worse are 'big ideas' that are bad from their inception: the Death of Superman, KnightQuest, Emerald Dawn. Just leave well enough alone.

DMZ is really good. It's one of several books I suggest to non-comic readers and people seeking more maturity and depth in their comics. Highly suggest at least reading the first trade.
