  • Prohibition creates the drug and the drug problem.

  • Since Jesus did turn water into wine he is not an absolutist, and moderate use of marijuana seems not more harmful than moderate use of alcohol and tobacco, but perhaps because it is easy to fall into marijuana abuse, God allows the authorities to practice law enforcement against marijuana use. However, since to deal and smoke marijuana illegally is a sin which now is far more widespread than marijuana abuse in itself and which leads many to hell, it might be better now to legalize marijuana.

  • Prohibitionism is the leading force working against democracy. Legalize all drugs: it is a necessity to save democracies from corruption and arbitrariness.

  • Hell ya this makes total sense

  • LEAP don't get the attention they need. Tell everyone about them. Tell fans of Cheech & Chong, Kottonmouth Kings, Bob Marley, Willie Nelson, Cypress Hill, etc. And tell them to vote for Ron Paul.

  • Legalize now!

  • Drugs are illegal for one reason....PROFITS

  • @openbreakwhat Not just profits. Criminal profits.

  • Huh, I just tweeted Obi yesterday on rethinking drug controll.. Now, on the next day countries meet on the subject.

  • 4-20-2012 You got a job? Go on strike until they legalize cannabis! It's the only way to get full scale recreational legalization. Be the change. All you have to do is spread this word to everyone. Get the pro pot organizations involved. Blog about it. Like it. Thumbs up it. Let the message snowball out of control. We are the marijuana nation and on 4-20-2012 don't go to work instead toke up and protest until we have our freedom back! We have almost a year to get this message across the world!

  • I will add, if our great government prohibits the use of mj and other drugs for our protection, and harm to others, I say they should prohibit poisons, guns, knives, swords, water, blankets, acids, water boarding, and sex. Even food can cause death if you eat too much of it. I would rather die of marijuana intoxication than by aids, or a bullit. The government really is really missing the boat if they want to protect us from harm by the prohibition of a stupid plant. Lets get real people.

  • Despite prohibition, if a person has an abuse problem, there are a myriad of legal choices. Perscription meds are medicine cabinet away, and a trip to the liquor store is a short drive. Cigarettes are really easy to come by. You can order it all online. Marijauna has been demonized by deliberate misinformation. It should be as legal to grow as tobacco. It should be more acceptable than alcohol. When will our government wake up? Please write to you representitive. Support Prop19 in NC.

  • its all about your freedoms. i hate drugs, i dont do them, i think they are a very bad thing. but, how can someone tell me that i cant smoke it i want to? its not about saving people, its about the money. as long as they are not hurting anyone but themselves, and yes i know the argument about crackheads stealing, so dont even bother with that one. its a tough thing to decide. freedom vs what we think is right

  • Drugs will never be legalised. What politician or party wants to place themselves in the sights of Fox news?

Murdoch will have a heyday linking responsible public servants to the inevitable tragedies in the crossover period.

Crossing the threshold on this one is too politically dangerous,no matter what the experts say.

This issue will always be decided by emotive buffoons.End of.

  • @DavidNeanders you make a very good point however we dont need someone who is going to have an easy time of it while in office. It is the representatives duty whether they are the president, congress person, or state representative to enact that which is just and fair. If that means that they catch flack from the news and media so be it. Otherwise we are letting our media run our government.

  • Legalize the non dangerous drugs (like weed, salvia, magic mushrooms, ...). Why? Because they are safe.

Legalize the dangerous drugs (like heroin, alcohol, tobacco, ...) Why? Because making them illegal makes them *much* more dangerous, and *much* more available to the youth.

Abuse of drugs is an health problem, not a crime problem.

  • @BRUMARTUBE Magic Mushrooms aren't exactly safe (well, not while they are illegal anyway) as there is a large risk of picking up and eating poisonous toadstools then the mushies. Something that would not be a problem should they be legalised.

  • The politicians and corporate owners of this country want prohibition to stay, people who are afraid are easy to control!

  • Stop blaming the lawmakers, and blame the lawbreakers. These drugs kill people, that's why they're illegal. Drugs used to be legal in this country, and people were dying, including the inventor of coke. Legalizing will make things worse, more traffic accidents, more OD's. Stop the lawlessness.

  • @coolguy98 Do you know there is cannaboids in cows milk and breast milk? go fuck yourself.

  • @coolguy98

victimless crimes should not be crimes, so go fuck yourself with your "traffic accidents"

  • @coolguy98 *These drugs kill people, that's why they're illegal*

Tobacco is a drug and it kills more people, worldwide then all illicit drugs AND HIV put together every year.

  • @coolguy98 Ridiculous laws is the reason of lawlessness. If you were right, then cannabis, salvia, magic mushrooms, notably would never have been made illegal to start with. And alcohol, tobacco, and many legal products would be illegal. But cannabis has been made illegal for unfair competition with nature, and the rest of prohibition is just a gangster tool (via corrupted politicians) for creating huge black market with easy targeting of the youth. The war of drug is total nonsense.

  • makes me happy to live in Canada yet at the same time American drug policies effect what happens here to a certain extent at the same time with their global influence

  • @mrabuckten there are alot of cops out there that just dispose of the pot and tell you to get going.....only focusing on major crimes in the neighborhood..........you're assuming all cops arrest you for possession of pot....i'd rather have a LEAP cop out there instead of a mindless drone, heartlessly enforcing every law.....you're misguided, and confused.

  • EVERYONE come to PAPSITE.info to sign the many petitions from groups like LEAP, MPP, Just Say Now and more.

Papsite is your one stop shop to sign petitions to legalize cannabis and hemp.

PLEASE make sure you do your part by signing. I put them all in one place now all YOU have to do is SIGN THEM! =)

  • Has anyone ever met a person who said that the only reason he doesn't smoke crack is because it's illegal? If you think that legalization will make usage go up, you are assuming that there are hordes of people like this. Give me a break.

  • Professionals Against Prohibition stands behind LEAP. Please support our efforts.

  • thank you Eleanor Shockett. couldn't have said it better. Caging people doesn't work they need programs and counseling if they abuse.use and abuse are two different things. our people need attention not detention..

  • I love how all of these guys qualify their statements and separate cannabis from other "harder drugs" and yet our laws state that cannabis and payote are in the most dangerous scheduling of drugs and the harder drugs (including heroin) are in the medicinal value scheduling. EVERYONE knows that cannabis is virtually harmless in comparison and yet politicians are doing nothing but burying their heads in the archaic propaganda and falsehoods of the past that have been very neatly disproven!

  • wake up world, legalize it now.

  • prison industrial complex

  • but if they de criminalise or legalize wouldent people still do stupid things like rob or break into houses to get money to buy it? might be much cheaper if its available in the local store the drugs but you still would need money to buy them

  • Prohibition is a non sense at the start. It consists in criminalizing sick people when they find the medication which suits them the best.

Congratulations for all those courageous cops. They give hope in humanity.

  • nice to see some level headed cops

every cop i have ever met has been a complete idiot shit fuck

  • Kaneh Bos(m) is part of Anointing oil...it is SACRED and protects the body-This is the reason they do not want HUmanity to have it or use it, Had we been growing hemp since the you tube "hemp for victory" film was made...The Constitution is written on it and the Bill of Rights...the best textiles/clothes...the seeds packed with protein...and even for housing or fuel which burns cleaner than corn or soy or our fuel we use...It can be used for HOUSING as well!!!ALL mammals have receptors for it.

  • SWED MOTHER FUCKER SWED!

  • I don't do any drugs at all but I agree!!! Amen!

  • So fucking true.

  • Are you honestly saying that you have no free will? That if drugs were legal you would suddenly become an addict? That's ridiculous... Just look at Holland. The majority of the people who do drugs in Holland are Americans and other tourists. The people of Holland actually think smoking pot is blase. It's actually totally uncool because it's legal. The "reality" is that you've been lied to, and the war on drugs is a horrendous failure. It is none of your business if individuals choose to use.

  • @gearsofhalotheftauto

You obviously have no clue about neurobiology and neuropharmacology at all. Everyone getting addicted? Bullshit. Addiction always has a genetic basis, whether you like it or not. It is always accompanied by a set behavioural changes, which themselves are controlled by the brains reward system (= dopaminergic system).

Furthermore, addiction is not only tiggered by substance use, it can as well be triggered by a wide range of behaviour such as playing video games and sports.

  • And the percentage of those that due to their genetical basis (eg. a mutated D2-receptor) can become addicted to a substance at all is constant throughout all the mammalian species.

For cocaine, the percentage is at around 17%. No matter whether it is mice, rats, monkeys or humans.

Furthermore, not all drugs will trigger addiction. It's only those that act on ones dopaminergic system. Psilocybin for example is incapable of triggering an true addiction since it doesn't act on the reward system.

  • duh...I dunno, i thinks psilocybin might be a super-evil deadly narcotic...seeing as how the prosecutor in my old home town apparently doesn't know the difference between a tryptamine and the chemical(s) responsible for why his bitter wife won't touch him. Judging by all of the moral legislators being caught with hot young boys, it is safe to assume that their reward pathways are not stimulated in the same way as us drunks &/or dopers.

  • Don't legalize all drugs... just marijuana. (although it's not a drug, it's an herb)

  • @lilriggs002 Its still a drug you tit

  • Awsome! maybe somethings will change. I admire these people for coming foward. It takes Gut´s

  • they shud educate people so that they dont get addicted to drugs and end up dead in their bathroom instead of assuming people r too stupid to control wot goes in their own fuckin body!

  • The message is simple: drug laws harm people more than the drug itself. Facts are facts, people. Suck it the fuck up and wake the fuck up. LEAP is a great organization.

  • big, That's about as on the fucking point you can get buddy.

  • isnt caffeine a drug

"Caffeine is a bitter, white crystalline xanthine alkaloid that is a psychoactive stimulant drug. Caffeine was discovered by a German chemist, Friedrich Ferdinand Runge, in 1819"

  • People who drank and used drugs during the sixties looked like wrecks, not because of the substances, but because of the trauma from war. The war on drugs is also a war. If pot became legal, people would at first glamourize it and use in excess, but eventually people may mature. A new style can sometimes become over exciting. I've seen more people crazed from cigarrettes, salt and coffee. Legalize Cannabis.

  • I feel very worried for the police who have to search for gorilla growers that have machine guns. Legalize Cannabis.

  • The reason why LEAP is in the relative minority, is because drug law enforcement is profitable to cop institutions and provides many with jobs, thus they will be thinking about it very hard as it can make them money.

I believe you are operating on the false assumption that a lot of A-class drugs are actually dangerous. Ectasy, LSD and many other drugs are much safer than alcohol and tobacco. In fact even cocaine has better long term effects than the major legal drugs.

  • I love how every prohibitionist think there's some undiscovered tactic not yet employed yet, ready to REALLY work (because punishment works, right? wrong btw) on illegal drug users. There's executions in serveral countries for relatively small amounts of drugs in countries where, historically, there's been not much use of western drugs, now see HUGE rise in use. Thailands police wacked about 3,000 people in a couple of weeks some years ago, pretty much on sight, killing MANY innocent too..

  • - Who in his motherfucking right mind would want to punish someone like that for selling something i HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH _DEMAND_ too willing people? Fucking psychos that's who. Grunts.

  • No kidding! This should be a huge industry right now. If we want solutions to our mounting deficit we should look no further. The slogan should be: Pot Is Patriotic! Farmers should stop growing corn which wastes too much water any way and grow weed. ;-)

  • To lock people up because they enjoy a different type of drug to alcohol (which also IS a drug) is just stupid, evil, and malicious.

  • these are the coolest people ever

  • Destroy the war on drugs overnight. Less crime, Surplus if taxed. Enjoyment of users. . Less gun crime, less gangs. Gun crime will go down dramaticly. This is the land of the free, we can send our troops as young as 18 to die on a war of choice, yet we cannot allow drugs. Laws-

Only arrest violent drug offenders. Clear out our prisons

DUI charges still apply. A legal age is useless becuase kids get it anyway. So that can be debated. But I think a acceptable age would be 15

  • they only reason weed was deemed illegal was to put blacks & latinos in prision! think i'm lying? do your home work and c 4 yourself! when they ended prohibition Al Capone was out of business. the same will happen to the drug cartels if the legalize all drug.

even the cops say legalize drugs! google l.e.a.p.

  • You are not lying. I am white and a former cop from chicago and the whole war on drugs is racist and its main concentration is on blacks and latinos.

  • Crazy Christians and Prison/Police and anyone who makes money off of incarceration is against legalizing drugs.

Ron Paul has a perfect view on drugs. Check him out.

  • Comment removed

  • @HardBodyNyC You're an idiot to use this issue to attack Christians. Ron Paul is a Christian and so am I and we agree on this issue.

  • Comment removed

  • @HardBodyNyC Do you believe the Holy Word of God? If you do, "Crazy" doesn't precede "Christians." If you don't, then taking it in your mouth is pretentious deceit.

You can't have it any other way, halfwit.

  • You speak like the devil.

  • @HardBodyNyC

    what? they speak the truth

  • It's really screwed black communities all over the country too.

  • Yep I am a ex white cop and the reason for the war on drugs was and is to keep blacks locked up and whites from losing their jobs and seats in college. Plain and simple.

  • Does anybody know what would happen if someone currently has a drug charge (pending or sentenced) and by some miracle, this substance would be legalized while this case is going on?Would him/her still be obligated to resume or recieve sentence for the old law.Or would the case be dropped and the person,if sentenced already,be released?

  • It's possible that the cause could continue then allow for appeal later. It is also possible that sentencing would be reduced. There is of course a chance that the judge might reconsider ruling due to the new policy. Then again some judges who didn't like the legalization might go through with the case and sentence as before the law was overturned.

  • Selective Prohibition on alcohol sales would include a internet access cashregister, slide card capacity and alcohol access card. Prohibited citizens should include those with drug convictions, repeat offenders, awaiting trial and others.. Wrong time in history to argue the point. Just bad policy. decriminalize, yes. 80% homicides are alcohol related, also domistic violence, property damage ect. Giving in on even pot maybe, but only with selective prohibition laws on alcohol sales implemented.

  • I can't imagine pot getting any cheaper here in Vancouver

  • I SMOKE FOR FREEDOM

  • @Sojaofdapepo You live for freedom you idiot, and you smoke for Failing in living in freedom, so you make your own bubble, and get fu**ed till you die.

  • I agree.. but .. we are currently taking BIG steps BACKWARDS....

people nowadays .. the average kids now ... have less knowledge about drugs... and more prone to alcohol abuse..

I know mates in my class that are younger than me.. are so ANTI marijuana.. yet they get drunk every day ....

but to many people are ignorant to understand the principle in this video

  • really should legalize them for many reasons...

  • smoking not a habit its a hobby!!

    smoke 1...

  • For people who want to know the truth about the effects Marijuana and Alcohol has on the body go to the org link below:

    saferchoice. org/content/view/24/53/

    Legalize Marijuana Federally!!!!

  • Fast and easy money, the worst drug ever !!!!

Fast and easy money makes humans more danderous than any other drug or vice.

Governments are giving power and job opportunities to criminals by prohibiton.

Let's take power away from criminals, let's legalize it !!

  • 4:45 this guy says it all !!!

  • They make more off of the drug war and they get to lock up lefty's who they hate.

  • there is noting wrong with weed and if it was legal the govt. would be making 1,000,000,000 in the first day if they taxed it it is less affective than cigs. weed doesent even give you cancer

  • The reason for legalising drugs should not be financial gain for governments or anyone else.

Even if they legalised Cannabis most people could grow their own plants which means they wouldnt even need to buy it. This is the number one problem with Cannabis they know they cant make the kind of profits they make from drugs like Alcohol and Tobacco, Cannabis was never made illegal because of health implications it was all down to corruption and the financial implications of legalising the drug.

  • even so tobbaco is also the same eve so worse lthan cannibis becuse its health comlications and alcho was illegalized for the same reason on amendment18 but was legalized and controlled with amendment 21 so there is a possibility for it to be leagalized for patints only

  • What's amazing about cigarettes is that they have a thing on the package, saying that smoking is bad for you. Then WHY legalize THAT and not drugs? I'm not saying cigarettes should be illegal but it's completely hypocritical.

  • I wouldn't necessarily say it's "softer" - nicotone can be a bad addiction for some people. I was just pointing out how stupid the hypocrisy is, not how strong or mild cigarettes are.

  • You can make your own booze but that doesn;t mean you wont go to the liquor store once in awhile. Cmon, if it was legal id have a couple plants myself sure but your seasons take time and u end up needing to buy some anyway

  • I agree hdbass.

The point im making is that the reason to legalise Cannabis should not be about financial gain.

  • youre right it should not be illegal for plants to grow in your backyard if they try to say shit to me ill say im pretty sure those plants grew out of the ground on their own your gona have to take this up with mother earth

  • for california it would definitely serve that purpose

  • Isn't it sad that only retired police officials feel able to say the obvious. Drug war is about exercising power and control over citizens it clearly has very little to do with the drugs themselves.

  • there is noting wrong with weed and if it was legal the govt. would be making 1,000,000,000 in the first day if they taxed it it is less affective than cigs. weed doesent even give you cancer. you are right

  • These guys know what they are talking about, as cops they see drugs on the street constantly as opposed to being in the pharmacy if they were legalized. I used to smoke pot, and even though I quit I realize the need people will have to do their drug of choice regardless of it's legal status. It will not stop them from getting exposed to it and it certainly won't scare them away from doing it. If you want to live a drugfree lifestyle, it has to be your decision, not your government's.

  • 0:38

    Im a retarded police

  • Wow. See? Not all cops are moronic, right-leaning thugs.

  • Its beautiful 2 see cops step outside the donut and think freely. A war on drugs, terror, poverty is a war on u & me. No war has ever diagnosed the issue. If the elite want to cut down the population then yes-legalize all of it so we can die high and happy like the lab rats we are. They wont do that because fake ass money is worth more than us ppl. Were just living chess pieces in this opera-To All Law oficials"quit ur jobs and join the real ppl-spend genuine time with ur family"

  • He's right, make em' legal.

  • Great Stuff you Guys. Best looking honest cops since My Old Man in Glasgow

  • well on the subject of drugs i never thought id agree with cops???????? but their absolutly right! bravo guys

  • $17 billion of federal money is directly spend each year to control drugs. But the actual cost of the drug war is $50 billion, which is equal to the USA combined budgets for all of our country's agriculture, energy, and veteran's programs. I'm sick and tired of people killing each other over this damn drugs. This is the same fricking thing that happend during prohibition, legalize the fricking drugs, charge company tax for selling them and give DDWI's when caught Driving Druged Under Influence.

  • Yep if you cut the gangs cash flow then no one will want to join. Those tricked out SUVs and sports cars they drive are funded by our laws against drugs. Drugs are a very short term and lucrative venture when they are illegal.

  • Justice is JUST and it does not equal the LAW. The LAW is an ASS and wasting our resources and harming our people with the continued prohibition. the status quo is killing us.

  • Hail the Leaf & Hail the LEAP.

  • STAY ON SOLID LEAP!!!

  • This isn't really related to the video, but the people who annoy me the most are people who are a) in favor of legalizing marijuana and yet b) are not in favor of legalizing "other" drugs (cocaine, meth etc)

So much for freedom to life.

  • And that is why? I do agree! And cocaine and meth (methamphetamine) are prescription and legal. It just can be used illegally! Prescription practices would also have to change to let people get what they need. Especially us chronic pain patients!

  • Dont hold your breath waiting for common sense to prevail

  • LEAP yall need more followers--yall are correct....

  • If McCain becomes president, we will never see marijuana bee legal...

  • Yes, god bless this good samaritans. Namaste everybody!

  • I mean those losers that don't care. Then again weed isn't a hard drug so whatever buy coek and meth and all that shit is sick

  • This is a great group. I want to donate money to this group.

  • These guys are on to it. They reiterate what common sense should tell lawmakers anyway. Unfortunately lawmakers worldwide are more attuned to lobbyists, quick-fix solutions and the morbid fear of losing the backing of said lobbyists and the moral panic those lobbyists could create for them.

  • God Bless these guys.

  • Its time to legalize it..marijuana never harmed me or any of my friends..the only problem is the policy towards it..just legalize it, you guys will see a big improvement on every aspect of social security and no more money being wasted with good decent people!

  • MaddDogg81: "maybe if they legalize hard drugs more losers will kill themselves"

It's better they kill themselves rather than someone else. As it is now, the Drug War causes gang wars and robberies to pay for high priced drugs. If it was legal, the gangs would have no revenue and addicts would not have to steal to support their habit. Maybe they'll destroy themselves. But at least they won't harm anyone else.

  • maybe you should go kill yourself

  • It's crazy, they're was once a time when suicide was illegal, and now its legal. So if suicide is legal why is the argument being made that personal drug use should be a crime?

  • the lesson is go out and enjoy urself there may only be 1 life so get the most out of it advice 4 u try it 1 time try tht 1 spliff try tht 1 pill and tel me it doesnt feel beter then alcohol

    rule1. dont depend on drugs

rule2. if u take pills or mdma take your time dont do loads all the time savor it

rule3. dont smoke weed all the time tht shit sends you crazy

  • Just shutup. You talk about pills and shit but then you say weed...sends..you crazy?

  • nah i did the pills thing depressants are more my thing, but good advice to many pills or weed will fuck with your head.

  • hey free drugs for every one

  • this guy is pro

  • the last thing you wanna do high is commit crimes. a robber would spend 5 hours robbing from a house, think it was 20 minutes, then get caught sleeping with potato chip crumbs on his stomach.

  • vote for nader.... legalize, legalize, legalize... the green that is... thats all I really care about

  • don't vote for nader. he has zero chance and he steals votes from democrats. he gets funding from republicans for that reason.

  • This war on drugs needs to end, its only adding to the $7,000,000,000,000,000 the U.S. is in debt.

  • Ron Paul for President 2008! Legalize drugs, the DEA won't like it, there are a lot of federal government profiting off the drug war

  • Ron Paul is not on the ticket if so they will kill him. He is not one of them get over it.

  • i call it the war of attrition on blacks and the black community, and also cops. they dont do shit in my city but pull up, get outside their cars, and bust 14 year old non violent drug dealers for a couple of vials of heroin everyday. they dont do real police work or anything.

  • Great video, with an important message. America should stop waging war on it's own shadow.

  • god all these people are wayyyyy smart

i only wish more people saw this video

  • Who says you can't tax drugs, look towards Amsterdam for the way it should be

  • I would like to thank these officers of the law for this work. For so long I have been confused on how America The Great could have become corrupt. It has to do with Liberty. Without Liberty, the land of the free becomes the land of the imprisoned. Once again I cannot say how thankful I am to have watched this video, I don't often post comments but this deserves my two cents. Thank you, it makes me proud to say God Bless America!

  • Voting for President Ron Paul will end the Drug War.

  • Voting for Ron Paul will increase the corporate takeover of america, be realistic. Don't do the same thing that happened when folks decided to throw their vote to the wind by voting for nader. Vote liberal, and save the third party candidate for a time when we can work it out specifically and have a good shot at effecting a change.

  • How will free trade increase corporate takeover? Ron Paul is the only one with a plan for our economy. Please reply I'm open to discussion.

  • corporations will sell weed like cigarettes

  • good i hope they do.
