No, they 're not. They're *both* copied from the Belgian original. (And were aired practically simultaneously.)
Sadly, I've never seen the Belgian original, as I am a sad sorry monoglot, and I've never been able to find a subtitled version anywhere.

Wow, a heartrate monitor? The UK is so much nicer than the US! In the American version of the mole they had to do bull fighting with no protection!

They did bull fighting in the Norwegian version too, but it was just with a tiny little calf with no horns.

No in US series 2 they had the heartrate on the high wire game. Though theres was between 2 trees and a bit a third as high.
So i guess the UK version is crueller in this game by putting them at the top of a damn.
