Leonard Cohen is not a good musician, nor a great one. He is a GODLY musican. If there were a heaven where the musicans went (perhaps a tower of song...), he would be way up there.
I thought I already commented this but I guess not..how strange...Anyhow. I really love this video. Very well done. Thank you for putting it together.
Wow! This is really good! I am a huge Leaonard Cohen fan and this is one of my favorite songs by him. I am really surprised by how well the anime matches the content and melancholly of the song's lyrics. I think L. Cohen, himself, would aprove if he happens to stumble upon your video.
This is done very beautifully. The song and the scenes form a very melancholic and moving mood and even though it doesn't follow the happenings in the anime, it's easy to get into the story you created. Very nice! =)
English isn't my mother language so comparing the lyrics to the video scenes is difficult for me. but thanks to your comment(yasu impersonating the writer etc.) I understand your intention.
Around 4:10 is my favourite scene: Nana says farewell to Ren in the train. the next moment you see Yasu smokin while the train is takin off. that kinda implies that Yasu feels the same way as Nana when Ren goes to Tokyo but is not able to show his feelings towards her(as always)
SMOKING IS JUST SO DRAMATIC. LET'S PUT IT IN EVERY SCENE.
