this looks a great reciever, i have a Fairhaven rd500 useing a AOR-LA350 indoor loop which works great in a flat but the Fairhaven sounds dead on the sortwave bands some how, but when i listen to Grundig 750 on youtube everything seems to jump out. so after weeks of looking at this radio i have now orderd one on the 25/4/2011 from maplins now retired this will be my last reciever.

Does anyone know how this baby compares with the Sangean ATS-909X? I'm considering both but leaning in the Grundig direction. What I need is a tie-breaker! Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
I just got mine yesterday. Picked up a station on 80 meters from England ?(HAM operator) and Radio Australia just on the Metal Whip, Did you have a problem when you first got your radio with "Vibration" noises or buzzing even at lower volumes?
This looks like a fun radio to use., The Reviews on this have improved in recent times. I had the Grundig 800 but sold it because it was just TOO BIG and AM sensitivity was HORRIBLE. Looks like this might be one I'd consider. How well does the rotatable AM antenna work?
my rotator antenna works flawless . i think most of the bad reviews were people who did not understand the features of the radio(the manual is not real clear) mine recieves as good or better then my other comparable radios on all bands
@crabtrap I agree with you completely, I have had mySat 750 (eton version) for a couple of months now and I am more than happy with it's perfomance accross the bands. Some of the reviews that I have seen say that 'Background noise' is a bit high...probabaly cos the RF gain has been whacked up, backing it off a little and using an external antenna with a simple ATU brings in crisp, clear audio. Having said that the' huge' telescopic whip on the radio does a pretty decent job in it's own right.
Well done. The Sat 750 is excellant on SSB. It just takes a little practice with the BFO and i find it is just as clear as a lot of other outstanding radios.
I just got this radio and have no idea how to to use it I'm trying to listen to Voice of Korea in new york please help
