Beyonce's first album sold 316,000 copies it's first week Ashanti's CD sold less than 10k more in it's first week (due to being released the week of the 4th of July), and then quickly fell under Beyonce's and eventually off the charts altogether, while Beyonce's stayed in the top 10 for months, it went on to sale more(domestically and worldwide) than any of Ashanti's albums.

Her first week sales were only 10,000 more than Beyonce's first week, Beyonce's second week sales were 50,000 more than Ashanti's second week. The only reason Shanti knocked Beyonce from #1 at all is because her CD came out a week later and everyone knows the albums decline on average 50%-60% between the first and second week. At the end of the day Ashanti lost the battle, and not by just a little bit, Bee killed her.
