You need to do more of these. It's an awesome idea. Though it's a little less organized (phahaha a little :P) but it's like.. more personal. It's really cool to watch you developing the idea, rather than just explaining how you got the the end product. Not to say I don't love the 7 day songs, I watch them all the time too. But moar of these!!

to get the "yo yo" basses, make a thor with a square wave and put the digi structor pre set from scream four onto your signal chain. then mess with the p1 and p2 knobs to your taste :)

nice vids man. thanks for showing new reason6! finaly they put audio tracks in! personaly i dont use reason because im the one who thinks no vst support is disadvantage... but its a nice app for having fun making music for sure. and yes u can use it a "vst way" in rewire mode so no problem there after all;)

So, it doesn't have vst support. I understand why this is keepin' it stable and solid as a "reality" of sounds and music sharing, but...I have a question, this means I cannot (for example) utilize Massive or similar "instruments"?

I don't have massive actually, or any other external vst, but I know some of them and it would be fuckin' amazing to have the possibility to use Massive for the bass lines in Reason...wouldn't?

@Absintize I'm not a Reason user, but Rewire it's a technology that exists in many DAWs(like Reason, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One and such...). Rewiring allows you to receive sounds from a different DAW running on your computer into your primary DAW(Reason). So for example, if you got Cubase, you can open Reason, Rewire Cubase and inside Cubase add your VST instrument. how to do this? they're many tutorials about that around youtube, just search "Reason Rewire". hope that helps :]

@adir544 I found something about cubase and reason, but if I understand clearly it shows the possibility to rewire reason IN cubase, not the contrary. Well, not a problem, if I can have what I've done in Reason in Cubase, I will simply use this to do the final passages to have the music file

They call it Mod for programming reasons (no pun intended :P)

It's easier to call whatever it is a mod, rather than making it change to PW, Pos, Colour, Detune or whatever the name of that thing that controls the shape of your square wave on the analog oscillator is called.

This same so called "lazy" programming is the reason (once again, no pun intended, it just happens so easily!) why the track name isn't changed by default.

That sounded awesome. It's definitely nice to have both types of tutorials as the 7 day songs really help break down the composition of songs whereas something like this really shows how the creative process

Secondly, I really don't take the lack of third party plug-ins as some sort of plus. You could just the basic synths in any software (E.g. I'm a Logic guy and could design everything in ES2 or Sculpture and everyone with Logic could open it, it's not a specific thing to Reason). Also, the use of VSTs shouldn't be seen an advantage or disadvantage. As the ladies always say to me, it's not the VST but how you use it ;)
