Sakurai failed to make this game balanced. I am a moderately good Ike player. I am able to beat all level 9 CPUs without trouble except Olimar. He was the only one I had trouble with. Your logic sucks and furthermore your points are retarded. Here's a perfect example: A D3 CPU will not regularly chain grab or Bair WoP anyone. This isnt "player skill" specific as they are both staples to gameplay that are not fucking hard to do and are a large part of what make d3 top tier. They exist for reasons, that has nothing to do with someone stating why they can't beat a character.
Specific Matchups and tiers arent related, perfect example being that marth, the 7th best character in the game, has better matchups than EVERYONE except meta knight.

If tiers do mean something then try this, put a sonic (33 in tier list) against a meta knight (we all know how gooo he is) both in level 9 (CPs of course) and watch the fight
At a basic, general level, some characters naturally have more advantages than others. You honestly can't say that a Captain Falcon player is on level grounds with a Metaknight player. Once you pass this basic general level, the character isn't as important as the player. Tiers aren't the laws of smash or anything, but there is some truth to them.
Exactly Akuma is w/o a doubt the winner in that, but the "top tiers" in brawl can be beaten easily by the lowest tiers, Dan is no match for an Akuma on the same level, another game is DBZ B3, SS4 Gogeta's attacks are like 3 times stronger than the saiyins and 5+ times stronger than the earlier characters. In brawl all characters have pros and cons, gogeta has no cons in DBZ B3. Snake has a lot of cons and pros, exploit his weakness and you win, Dan is simply trash and no match for Akuma.

Like how Falcon's laggy as hell moves, lack of any good KO moves, poor range, LOL priority, bad approach, no way of dealing with projectiles etc is made up for by the fact he can run fast? Or, Meta's everything is made up for by the fact he's light and I GUESS has 3 around 3 kill moves(despite said kill moves being rape). Falcon can't beat Snake easy at all, seeing as Snake's only weakness is gimpable recovery and Falcon sucks at spiking. And Jiggs vs Meta =lol

not according to the official tier list. They say Olimar is mid tier, yet there have been plenty of vids where a tournament Olimar beat a tournament Metaknight. It might be just the low tiers are way below everyone else, but idk.
It wasn't a discovery@_@ and this scenario won't likely happen again unless you stage it. I was extremely lucky to shield break him, and even more lucky that my fsmash&grenade gave him enough knock back to be sent away from the stage.

I find it funny someone actually up-voted this scrub who's obviously never played in a competitive environment stating he thinks tiers don't exist. Tiers exist in any game with players being able to select a variety of "characters", whether be fighters in Brawl or Street Fighter or cars in Rush 2049 or even Mario/Luigi in Super Mario Bros. 2. Even trying to debate that tiers don't exist is a display of stupidity with anyone who actually plays the game to win.

Sakurai failed to make this game balanced. I am a moderately good Ike player. I am able to beat all level 9 CPUs without trouble except Olimar. He was the only one I had trouble with. Care to explain? Besides, you're contradicting yourself, hypocrite. Tiers can be an excuse to lose in any game. What makes Brawl so special? Why can't tiers exist in Brawl? Popularity or ignorance?

The concept of what I said had nothing to do with discretion of player skill, sorry. Also D3 has the best non-tether grab range in the game next to olimar (which whether or not it's a tether is arguable but it cant be punished like one, it just has no grab armor) so if you make contact with his very potent shield chances are you just got grabbed. You're going to say characters who have to try to get in on d3 have a way to avoid his grab?

Your logic sucks and furthermore your points are retarded. Here's a perfect example: A D3 CPU will not regularly chain grab or Bair WoP anyone. This isnt "player skill" specific as they are both staples to gameplay that are not fucking hard to do and are a large part of what make d3 top tier. They exist for reasons, that has nothing to do with someone stating why they can't beat a character.

Tiers exist to express the ease involved in employing widely accepted tactics on a character-wide scale. Fox would be god tier if he could shine spike and kill everyone without a second thought, as ike would be if his fsmash werent punishable and he didn't get gimped by most of the better characters quite easily.

At a basic, general level, some characters naturally have more advantages than others. You honestly can't say that a Captain Falcon player is on level grounds with a Metaknight player. Once you pass this basic general level, the character isn't as important as the player. Tiers aren't the laws of smash or anything, but there is some truth to them.

Exactly Akuma is w/o a doubt the winner in that, but the "top tiers" in brawl can be beaten easily by the lowest tiers, Dan is no match for an Akuma on the same level, another game is DBZ B3, SS4 Gogeta's attacks are like 3 times stronger than the saiyins and 5+ times stronger than the earlier characters. In brawl all characters have pros and cons, gogeta has no cons in DBZ B3. Snake has a lot of cons and pros, exploit his weakness and you win, Dan is simply trash and no match for Akuma.

Like how Falcon's laggy as hell moves, lack of any good KO moves, poor range, LOL priority, bad approach, no way of dealing with projectiles etc is made up for by the fact he can run fast? Or, Meta's everything is made up for by the fact he's light and I GUESS has 3 around 3 kill moves(despite said kill moves being rape). Falcon can't beat Snake easy at all, seeing as Snake's only weakness is gimpable recovery and Falcon sucks at spiking. And Jiggs vs Meta =lol

true but I mean come on, admit it, they were on drugs when they made snake's tilts. Hell all of the new have little faults or weaknesses. The older characters got stronger but it takes more skill to use any of the smash originals than it does to use some of the new guys, but that excludes Snake.
That being said, I am a big MGS fan and I'm glad he kicks a load of ass. I hope they help the nintendo legends(and sonic?) in the next one. Until then, I'm bowsa bombin'.
