We may have more precision equipment now but we are dealing with enemies that purposely blend in with the population and use tactics like suicide bombing. Ok so they don't mention the expected 2 million that Saddam killed in his 25 years of power. Out of the over 100,000 killed in those military reports how many were actual combants? The Soldier engages the car and it turns out the civilian driver quote "thought he could get around the checkpoint real quick" his son gets killed and the Soldier now struggles with the mental horrors everyday? The civilian father destroyed his son's life and runined many others with his actions...it's sad all around.

How come all other CF in Iraq are more disciplined and act responsibly, why can't US soldiers follow OP's? Or probably there are special op. proc. for US soldiers like - kill'em all, shoot at civilians if engaged no mater from where and by whom... Why almost all rapes are by US soldiers? Ok so they don't mention the expected 2 million that Saddam killed in his 25 years of power. Out of the over 100,000 killed in those military reports how many were actual combants? How many did not follow instructions like the Hussain family who did not stop when ordered too? I served, my two nephews were there and they said they never killed anyone without reason. It is a horrible situation and I don't have an answer for it. Please don't act like we are just killing everyone for fun.

Its difficult to fathom a situation in which multiple warning shots and hand gestures were initiated but the identified vehicle failed to yield.... could you honestly say you wouldn't hesitate to use deadly force to potentially avert the bombing of you and your fellow soldiers?

I have civilian PTSD and yet my chest is acing when I think of the silence they must remain and also have severe PTSD on top of it all and the civilians criticism. Listen guys I did three tours in Iraq as a combat soldier and I can tell you we are trained and conditioned to use only the minimal force necessary to neturalize the threat. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and far but few are intentional from US military soldiers. I however do not agree with these statics they do not take into account the wounded and killed civilians from insurgents. The insurgents do not record their patrol debriefs. The Soldier engages the car and it turns out the civilian driver quote "thought he could get around the checkpoint real quick" his son gets killed and the Soldier now struggles with the mental horrors everyday? The civilian father destroyed his son's life and runined many others with his actions...it's sad all around.

How come all other CF in Iraq are more disciplined and act responsibly, why can't US soldiers follow OP's? Or probably there are special op. proc. for US soldiers like - kill'em all, shoot at civilians if engaged no mater from where and by whom... Why almost all rapes are by US soldiers? Why the F US lets gang members with a month of training go trigger happy on other human beings? If they show the pictures taken after engagements you'll see that no weapons are found around casualties.

When subjected to the stress of kill or be killed combat, the sweet young man loses a measure of compassion and sometimes develops a shoot first attitude to protect his own life.
