  • Awesome man, I'm so going to try and figure this out from watching this... but to save me the bit I always find the hardest figure out... Is this in open G tuning?

  • @bilz0r yezzir! open G my friend.

  • Nice, my grandfather handed his Harmony Archtop down to me, it too has a crack at the neck, but the neck isn't warped. Mine doens't have the tensioning rod running up the Neck, i guess thats why they started putting rods in. My grandfather got it for his birthday from his family in the early 40's. He drug it around the country side as he worked on the railroad all throughout Western Canada.

  • @Drockywalker1 very cool, thanks for sharing that! this one was baught used in the sixties for my friends father who was a teenager at the time...it was his first guitar.

  • g r e a t !

  • @theFLIGHT84 thanks!!! :)

  • Nice job man, I'm getting a 658 to play slide

  • @CletusColtrane thanks man! love those old archtops!

  • great job on this man, awesome slide playing!!

  • @4runner39 thanlks!

  • I learned to play guitar on a Harmony just like that. I let it slip thru my fingers, so now it's time again and a Godin 5th Ave will fill in nicely. Thanks for a bit of nostalgia.

  • @RustyfFender that's great , i love Godin but...did you ever check out the NEW Harmony's...yes the NEW Harmonys.lol they're just like the old ones but with better components..it's rediculous!!! i want one!

  • Wow, wish I could play with a BIC like that. I can only play with a "proper" slide bar on my pinky. I played an ancient Harmony archtop in the mid 1970's which was a loaner while my electric was being repair by a local shop. Great memories, it was a terrific-sounding guitar, (though in bad player shape, not the guitar's fault, but it sounded awesome). Keep playin', Bro.

  • @MrDorkusMaximus thanks man!

  • Man thats cool. Wish I could play the blues like that!

  • @eighthavenue thanks, man...at least YOU can sing, i can't sing to save my life.

  • Tryin'?! Hahaha! Man, I think you nailed it. Cheers!

  • @codysdad5 thanks man!

  • cotton blockin' sho 'nuff, yes suh.

  • @axylotyl Thanks man!

  • Nice sound and cool work with the lighter, Pauly!

  • @perfectbudgie thanks!

  • Really nice playing mate. I'm keeping my eyes open for a nice old Harmony or Kay myself. The sound of those guitars is just unmistakable.

  • @TimTkachyk thanks man! yeah if you're into blues or any old timey music these archtop acoustics are really nice.

this one is probably a late 1950's or early 1960's model, it was baught used in 1963 or 1964.

  • i'd love to get my hands on a 50's stratotone, too...like Junior Watson and Rick Holmstrom play.
