@TekkerzOOT Read the description. The lyrics are from a soundcheck in 2009. The song is at least 2 years old, the lyrics changed for the album.

@JohnKulo Yes, I know the soundcheck version and Noel hadn't even finished writing the song yet so I find it hard to believe these are the exact lyrics of that version since Noel doesn't sing the full song in the soundcheck, and he just harmonises most of it! No need to be a smart are with "Read the Description" etc, I said this was Good, It's just not a cover!

Agree totally Philip, I love his recent stuff but he does go a bit stomp heavy on some of the lighter stuff. I am hoping that live songs will be different as he no longer has to get stadiums rocking. I quite like that stomping beat but not really on that song but it'll grow on me. your version is on my mp3 player though. Do you write your own songs? I'd be really interested in hearing some if you do.

Hi vivacornholio, I must admit I was surprised he made it as heavy and stomping as he did. I was really expecting it to float, much more akin to Talk Tonight and the like. I know just how you feel about Noel.. I'm sure once we've heard the whole album, it will justify our faith in him as a genius songwriter

Having heard your version a few weeks ago, I have just heard the actual Noel version and I am so disappointed. Yours is so so so much better. So much more soul and feeling, more melody, better chords. Noel is my musical god but I guess that makes you Jesus. (if I wasn't an athiest of course!)

These are my own lyrics in the verses, I've only heard the clip that everyone else has heard, the one that lasts for just under 2 minutes from the sound check. As for tips with singing, I can't help you as I never had lessons so just doing whatever I feel. I just have a naturally high voice I think. Thx for the compliments, I appreciate them all.

Great cover mate! Two things I'd like to ask:

1. Can put the lyrics up? If they're the real lyrics or just your interpritation, they're superb!

2. How'd you get your voice to be that high? I'm a singer/songwriter myself, formally of multiple bands, but I struggle to sing high like that, something I'd really like to be able to do. Any tips on how to make my voice cleaner and higher?
