Heh. The whole nuke paranoia seems very funny to me. This isn't the 1970's. 3 Mile Island was a long time ago. In 2009, nuclear power is a very viable solution to our dependence on fossil fuels.
It's funny how many enviromentalists are against nuclear power yet it is just about the only realistic way to get ourselves out of our dependence on oil. Way to fucking shoot yourselves in the foot, brilliant.
I've ALWAYS admired and respected Nader. He would be the only legitimate representative of the citizens of the US instead of just being another front man for the MIC and corporate America's business interests. Fortunately for him he will never be elected. If he ever were, in less than a month he'd find himself in an open top limousine taking a motorcade through Dallas.
I've got sperm cells that are smarter than your uneducated, 19 year old, living in mommies basement loser ass. Go play Ethug with somebody else or go back to the online dating site that you keep striking out on. You're blocked shit for brains so don't beg for any more of my attention.

By the bias parents would normally give. I've gone to several of his speeches. I've sacrificed time and money to see him, see Cynthia McKinney, see Ron Paul. I'm a mother fucking 14 year old, who is more politically aware than your fat ass.
Your profile says 19, you claim to be 14, your reading comprehension is about age 2. What part of me calling Nader corrupt did you glean from my statements? Was it: "Always admired and respected"? Ralph Nader has just won the Peace and Fredom Party nomination in calafornia which has secured another state victory. We're on our way to reaching that national goal of 45 states by September.
Hey everyone who supported Ron Paul. Call Nader's office right now: (202) 471-5833 and tell them you want the issues page to include abolishing the Fed and debt-based money. Nader has supported that idea publicly in the past but for some reason it is not on the web site and he doesn't talk about it much now...
Also, for all you doves, we need to call Nader's office and ask why "Pull out of Afghanistan ASAP" isn't on his Issues page at all. We know he's against the Afghanistan war...
I think that when they started they were just raising issues to try to oull the Democrats towards a progressive agenda, but now there is a real grassroots movement behind them.
The minute they realise they have a choice to end the war in Afghanistan and not go to a new war in Pakistan, the progressives will come.
And abolishing the Fed reseve will bring in the true conservatives.
And this is actually in the interests of the people, not pandering to corporations.
Israel has the right to exist, but not in the Palestinian territories recognised by the UN that Israel is illegally occupying, making Palestians homeless.
Jewish Voice for Peace organisation stands against the ilegal occupation by the Israeli government & AIPAC that doesn't represent Judaism, only the action of zionism.
No one is condoning violence by the terroist Palestinian government, but the Isralei government is equally a terroist government for killing innocent civilians.
First of all 99% of Jews don't agree with that organization.Israel isn't this evil country you think it is. When Israelis attack, they go for troops. When Hezbollah and Hamas attack they aim for kids.If attacking troops, they take them hostage and only spare their lives if Israel releases twice as many prisoners.Right now they're demanding 5, one of them murdered a woman, her baby, and a cop.So what if Israel accidentally kills an innocent. That's how war works, every country does that sometimes.
That attitude of so what if innocent Palestinans die is equally as disgusting as those who overlook innocent Israeli's dying in this conflict.
And notice that I'm not taking side with the terroists on either side. I completly disagree with Hamas using rockets against Israel.
But I also completly disagree with Israeli gov. bulldozing Palestinian homes & replacing with Jewish only settlements in Palestinian land, combined with military occupation & of all innocent civilians in Palestine.
No matter what, innocents are killed in wars. Every country has done it, and my point is that everybody bitches about Israel doing it even though America, Germany, Russia, Hamas, Hezbollah etc. have done it (and still do). They're called mistakes and every country makes them. I bet that if you went to war, the fear of death would cause some fast decision making. In the 10 seconds that it takes you to decide whether or not you should attack, you're already dead. You have no idea what war is like.
The differnce is that the western world states unequivically that the actions of Hamas, Hezbolla, the Nazi's, Bush's war in Iraq as terroism.
Yet the actions of the Israeli government by the Western world in killing civilians is simply called a mistake, or is completly concealled from the western pubic, where the US public has no clue that it is funding the systematic demolition of Palestinain homes. If all US taxpayers knew that's what their money was being used for US would stand against it.
And BTW, Israel only does that to protect themselves. If you've been to Israel you'd understand how extreme security is, and why it needs to be like that.
How exactly does it enhance your security interst by demolishing the homes of Palestian civilians, including homes where civilans remain in their, to make them homeless or kill them.
How is it in their security interst to build a Jewish only settlement on Palestian land in replacement of their homes.
The motives of the military occupation & oppression is the pratice of zionism to take over Palestian land as recognised by UN international law, not security.
Get Ralph on Larry King Live! Send your viewers choice request to larrykingguests@cnn(DOT)com
If enough people request Ralph, the likelihood of him appearing will be high. Perhaps we could also persuade the LKL producers to host an unofficial one-on-one debate between Ralph and one of the major candidates or an advisor for one of the campaigns.
All it takes is a few seconds of your time. What have you got to lose? Even if you find the debate idea to be unrealistic, it doesn't hurt to try.
The funniest thing is this. Name one state Ralph Nader, or any small party for that matter, has ever won. How many percent of the vote has Nader reached? Do you REALLY think he's going to win this time? They don't even do polls for him because he's so insignificant!
That's only because he had run as a Democrat, one of the two real parties, like 4 times prior. Name one state that an independent, namely Nader, has won in the last 20 years. Even better, name one state Nader has even won!
The issues are, quite literally, as impossible to raise in the 2008 elections as Carlin's 7 words are to say on TV.
You CANNOT say Carlin's 7 words, and you CANNOT talk directly about freeing Palestine, single-payer universal healthcare, corporate influence on government, etc. on TV, in congress, etc.
There's good reason for talking about Carlin, because it's the EXACT same idea...
Many people vote Dem or Rep because they think only they can win. That's a calculated vote. But a vote for Nader is a principled vote. I won't throw my values away regardless of the chances. If all the people who said he can't win would just vote for him, he could win. I guess to many Americans, winning is everything, and principles don't matter. They can't admit that their party represents the corporations more than it does them...or that both parties are really the same in the long run.
I pity the people who vote against republicans because they are supposed to be these war mongers. Well, dems are too. you guys who are afraid and want to vote for either of the big two parties need to wake up. They are the same and will never help you. We need a problem solver, someone who wants to work for the people and not the big coporations. Please don't be so numb in the head. NO! Reps will win if you vote nader. We don't even have a voice-the electoral college does and they love u.

DO NOT vote nader in 2008. Unless we adopt a runoff system like France, please DO NOT vote for a candidate that would give us another worse case scenario (Republican win).
Vote your hopes, not your fears. Vote your conscience. We are free women and men and we have the right to vote our heart. Never vote for an ,anti-gay marriage,anti-single payer health care ,pro warrentless search candidate like Obama because you are afraid of McCain. Never sell out. NEVER sell out. Peace will not come with the candidate who said we need to "bump up" defense spending..(Obama!)
I couldn't agree more. Voting needs to come from the heart and a bad vote is one that is prejudiced. Dems vs Reps is racist in a way and they are the same-run by big coporations who want favors so they can get richer. I voted for Nader 2000 and talked my parents into voting for Nader too. 2004 we were so scared of Bush running again we voted for the"lesser of evils" but Kerry is still evil, and Bush won. I wasted my vote. Should have stayed loyal to my heart. Nader is a good man. Period.
Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one who voted for nader in 2000 and thenwaisted my vote on Kerry four years later.I learned my lesson...now the only debates in my house are between my son (supports McKinney) and me and my wife (Nader)...
True, but doing something idiotic like allowing McCain to win will only be a set back for our country. What we should be advocating for is a runoff system. That way, a third party could make a stronger stand.
Obama used to support justice in Palestine and now he has completed pandered to the war-monger lobby at AIPAC. Obama is completely shameless and so now the only progressives choice are Nader or the Greens!
Obama foted for FISA,he is against gay marriage,he wants to "bump up" defense spending and he will NOT get the US out of Iraq. Obama a liberal???? Only to the John Birch Society or the KKK.
By the way for those who don't know I was replying to 0613162k with his message:

This video is poorly done! The background of Ralph talking distracts the viewer from the words flashed on the screen, and the words flash by way way too fast! What's the hurry? Each point should be given enough time for the viewer to digest the meaning. The beep is also a distraction. Silence would have been much more effective. "In memory of George Carlin" should have been put at the end along with "Rest in Peace. We'll Really Miss You!" Could be a strong video but it's not the way it is now.
I think it's effective because it's saying they block out these words in the national media as if they were swear words. It's one of the most viewed videos from the Nader campaign so I think it was very creative and to drew an audience on youtube showing issues.
Nader is the only Presidential candidate with a national reputation who is standing up for the American people on the issues they care about. Obama and McCain are pandering to corporate interests and "party interests" which is code for corporate interests, since the actual members of each party want to end the war and bring about universal health care. These are universal issues, not party issues anyway.
Nader has been standing up for citizen rights and safety his whole career. He is the one
Rock on Nader! I'm not buying into the "but you'll spoil the election for the democrats" or "he won't win so you might as well vote for the lesser of 2 evils" tawdry arguments. You should vote for who you want to see in office regardless of how many votes they receive. Whether its 100 or 100 million votes, you should never settle for who doesn't completely stand for your ideals and principles. That's true democracy.I'm not giving in to Obama or McCain no matter what the outcome of the election.
Go away Ralphy. Your time is over. You offer nothing that Obama doesn't already have. I voted for you once (in a solidly blue state) but would never consider it again. Thanks for all you have done. But please go away now. In an incredibly awkward twist of fate, we are we are today because of you.
What does Obama have to offer? What have he product to improve average Americans lives? Yes, he voted against the war but he also voted for continued funding.
Ralph Nader is truly an American hero. He has spent a lifetime protecting the rights of consumers in the United States. He is a natural for this job. I say we give him a chance, no one else seems to be solving our problems.
If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans.
Maybe it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. Fuck Hope.'
I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote.
It is clear that this is a TRIBUTE to Carlin, not an exploitation of him. Furthermore, Nader is spot-on with his progressive politics. If you vote Obama, you vote for the WHITE CORPORATE POWER STRUCTURE, period. Nader is not in it for vain reasons, despite misperceptions. Those perceptions are misbegotten and can be attributable to timid and/or bitter Democratic supporters who can't bring themselves to admit that their party is corrosive and cravenly.
Ralph Nader has always been someone who will be point blank honest with Americans. He doesn't have a hidden agenda, nor does he need money. Nader is a rare breed of politician; one like that of the founding fathers and someone who I believe would garner their support! He is the only one who hasn't in some way tried to jeopradize our civil liberties. And he certainly isn't a "majority rules candidate"! VOTE NADER!!!
Ralph Nader represents the only hope America has of working it's way out of the mess that Corporate America, the Rupublicans and the Democrats have created.
I am shocked that Obama voted to gut the 4th amendment of the Constitution by supporting the Bush administration in granting the telecoms retroactive immunity for their illegal wiretapping.
Ralph Nader, when will you break from and openly criticize the capitalist system itself, still your a good man and i will send a vote your way this fall
This week, Obama has flexed his FUD by cowering before the mighty FISA bill.
Stopping telecom immunity IS in the interest of national security, but Obama won't fight it.
...maybe he's best buds with the Big Bells?
Either way, I can't imagine Ralph Nader letting any big corporation skate by with any less justice than what would be served to anyone else who broke the law.
Dr. Ron Paul and Sen. Gravel Voters - Jump in! Send A Big Message to the Corporate Duopoly, VOTE NADER!
Help get Nader on the ballot in every state - This has been the chief complaint by both Ron Paul and Mike Gravel, no better opportunity than now to get active and get these ridiculous ballot laws hammered out.
No better election year than this one to send a protest vote to these corporate candidates.
You know Ralph Nader has always had the American people's best interest at heart.
A friend of mine tells me that if I am vote for Ralph Nader I am throwing away my vote away. My response to that is to say the only way I throw my vote away is by voting for any candidate who DOES NOT represents my views. Ralph Nader has fought for me, and people like me, for over 40 years. If that does not qualify for earning my vote, I don't know what does. McLain is pathetic, Obama isn't great, for me it's Nader & Gonzalez in 2008!
So much for proofreading! I meant to write: "A friend of mine tells me that if a vote..." (not if a AM vote) and also "McCain" (not McLain). (I usta spel gud b4 I got hooked on fonix :)
They hurt themselves by compromising their principles 2 shift 2 the right within the course of the same election as Democrats are seeing with Obama.Saved on my favourites are 2 videos from the Young Turks and Political Overload who have a large youtube audience & have consistently supported Obama.Just recently 1 says he's compromising principles & people need 2 start crisising him, the other saying he's showing no leadership against holding Bush accountable.Dems are just the lesser of 2 eveils.

If you enjoyed watching your friends and family or yourself lose your jobs under the Republicans then vote Nader. If you enjoyed the 9 trillion debt you are now burdened with, vote Nader. Nader is the Republicans tool to split the liberal vote. All one has to do is ask what direction they want to head to...do they want to go in the somewhat familiar direction under McCain or do they want a real directional change under Obama. Vote Nader and you vote in McCain.
Some people want to destroy the USA and they are here to ensure you vote in a Republican. They know you have lost so much under the Republicans but unfortunately Bush has to leave office too soon before he could finish you all off.
If someone is voting Nader, rest assured that they've probably educated themselves too well to even consider voting for a sheep-magnet like Obama. A vote for Nader is almost certainly a vote that Obama NEVER HAD.

PolyMetrix1618 3 years ago
The differnce is that the western world states unequivically that the actions of Hamas, Hezbolla, the Nazi's, Bush's war in Iraq as terroism.
Yet the actions of the Israeli government by the Western world in killing civilians is simply called a mistake, or is completly concealled from the western pubic, where the US public has no clue that it is funding the systematic demolition of Palestinain homes. If all US taxpayers knew that's what their money was being used for US would stand against it.
0613162k 3 years ago
And BTW, Israel only does that to protect themselves. If you've been to Israel you'd understand how extreme security is, and why it needs to be like that.
PolyMetrix1618 3 years ago
That's rubbish and you know it.

PolyMetrix1618 3 years ago
George Wallace of the American Independent Party won five Southern states in the 1968 election, winning almost 13% of the popular vote.
evildevil97 3 years ago
That's only because he had run as a Democrat, one of the two real parties, like 4 times prior. Name one state that an independent, namely Nader, has won in the last 20 years. Even better, name one state Nader has even won!

You're probably right, but what the fuck does this have to do with carlin? Thanks but no thanks...
Fadeux 3 years ago

Peace will not come with the candidate who said we need to "bump up" defense spending..(Obama!)
Vote Peace..Vote NADER/GONZALEZ 2008
boomac62 3 years ago 6
I couldn't agree more. Voting needs to come from the heart and a bad vote is one that is prejudiced. Dems vs Reps is racist in a way and they are the same-run by big coporations who want favors so they can get richer. I voted for Nader 2000 and talked my parents into voting for Nader too. 2004 we were so scared of Bush running again we voted for the"lesser of evils" but Kerry is still evil, and Bush won. I wasted my vote. Should have stayed loyal to my heart. Nader is a good man. Period.
nrobnas65 3 years ago 3
Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one who voted for nader in 2000 and thenwaisted my vote on Kerry four years later.I learned my lesson...now the only debates in my house are between my son (supports McKinney) and me and my wife (Nader)...
boomac62 3 years ago 3
True, but doing something idiotic like allowing McCain to win will only be a set back for our country. What we should be advocating for is a runoff system. That way, a third party could make a stronger stand.

I'm all for people voting for whomever they want, but what I can't stand is people denying what candidates stand for.
Nader, Obama (and Clinton) all have very socialist ideals, but why is it that every time someone points out that little truth, supporters deny it?
If you want America to go socialist, just admit it and embrace it. Don't hide from it.
Wallace1776 3 years ago

He is the one
lunabargal 3 years ago 8
Rock on Nader! I'm not buying into the "but you'll spoil the election for the democrats" or "he won't win so you might as well vote for the lesser of 2 evils" tawdry arguments. You should vote for who you want to see in office regardless of how many votes they receive. Whether its 100 or 100 million votes, you should never settle for who doesn't completely stand for your ideals and principles. That's true democracy.I'm not giving in to Obama or McCain no matter what the outcome of the election.

Reasons to vote of Nader:

4. He has produced change while another only talks about it.

GEORGE CARLIN ON VOTING:
