thefadeaway: it was back in 2004, so it's been almost five years. It was the Once Dead Promoters website, back when they were fixing to do their big concert. Scott wasn't the only one sounding off, but he was definitely more... "surly" (LOL).

All good, it's only politics. And again, I know I'm the exception to the Evangelical demographic, not the rule.

toddpope: I'VE gotten over it. But it did leave me curious as to whether or not Scott has gotten over the level of slavish devotion for Saint "W" he had back then; if he grew up (GASP) after the debacle of the second term. That's all.

Meh, no reason I should expect him to outgrow that mentality. Really I'm the odd man out, politically, in such a group. Guess I drew different conclusions when X-ian metal blew onto the scene. Like the established Church folks tied culture to faith, ALL OVER.

It's not harmonizing. There's no harmony here at all. It's gang vocals, like on Vengeance Rising's song "Tion". Ultimatum have a lot of heart but without the guitar solos they would be rather ordinary. Scott is a great guy but I'm afraid I just don't dig his vocals.

Please, don't get me wrong... I do like Ultimatum and their ministry is awesome, but musically it is the strong guitar work of Robert Gutierrez that carries this band. I feel that they'd be that much greater if Scott sang with a melody akin to the Dio style sound that he himself is a huge fan of. I've heard him actually SING before and it would just freshen it up heaps. He has true talent that just seems hidden because he doesn't use it.
