@alecmichael Thank you, and we kinda split lead and rhythm, and the guy recording was in front of the rhythm amp so it sounds louder. one of the other recordings in the middle sounded better but i lost that one.
Just to let you guys know the original track's octave in the key of Amajor is no easy melodic line to sing in. Brad Delp has a naturally high pitched voice and its hard to imitate; if you think you can do it better post a vid!
not to be mean or anything but if you read the other comments you know he was sick and couldnt sing it up that day without his voice giving out. just to let u know
well, if people are gonna complain, I'm just sayin what happened. He went through a whole bag of Halls fruit breezer things too, so it was kindof funny. plus i bet felomiousb cant sing that high anyway. sooo....thanks for watching anyway
well, believe what you want, I wasn't kidding when i said he was sick. He goes to Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan and played one of the lead roles in a Shakespeare Musical Comedy and sings way up there
nice cover, nice song, yeah ive been there with a sick lead singer, its balls lol only we were recording on a time frame (embarrasing)
only suggestion would be from what i can tell, turn up the lead guitar a bit and when you go up after the A during the pre-verse i would play the actual chord boston does,
sounds good though and i hope to hear more from u guys good job.
thanks, i have 2 recording of this song from this talent show. the other one which is better didn't work. this camera is close to the rythm guitar and thats y u hear it more. the other one, the lead guitar was perfect.
Actually yes. My band now is called Savage Serenity. We have some demo tracks uploaded on our myspace, but we have really bad recording equipment, so the quality sucks. also our band members like 2 switch a lot. my new bass player has some equipment and we are getting stuff together. i write most of the music and the parts and i get people to fill in. but i guess check us out- myspace/mattallicarl
hey, this is futureblackbelt5 (didnt realize i was on sisters account) its god that you write your own stuff, try to get the new stuff with good equipment up asap and ill def take a look at it, where are you guys based?
like i said before, he was extremely sick. he couldn't sing the usual way without his voice giving out so he had to drop it down and it didn't sound as good
my band and i have done this cover too, i would suggest next time that you turn down the rhythem guitar a little and put more emphasis on the beginning solo but really good job very impressive boston is the best! rock on
Hey, you commented on my Boston video, directing me to this one. First of all, thanks for watching. Secondly, since you insisted that I watch yours, I've done precisely that.
Your cover's good. The guitars are great, the solo's on. But your singer's a bass - you're entitled to your own adaptation, but it makes me miss Brad Delp a little bit. And where's the harmony? That's such an integral part of Boston's sound you're lacking. Certainly you talent show-winning boys are capable, eh?
well actually our singer isnt a bass, he was sick and his throat was very soar. He couldnt sing it up without his voice giving out. (He had to eat like a hole bag of halls fruit breezers b4 the show). I do miss brad delp very much too. RIP. i kind of picked this as a tribute to him and boston. My mic wasnt loud enough, thats probably y u cant here the harmony,(i dindnt actually know my singer wanted me to backup sing til the day b4.) but thanks for the comments.
nice job man I liked it. All I would reccommend is that you guys develop a stage pressence, nobody cares if your just standing there playing guitars. You gotta tell them what your playing, or at least dive into the emotion of the song.
He was relatively sick that day and couldnt sing very well. ( the Flu kind of sucks) he was going to sing it up and octave too but his voice kept giving out. thx for your comment anyway
That sure looks like the auditorium at Davison High in Davison Mi. I'm class of '84 and it would be nice to see more here of the goings on there. Thanks for posting.
I know but for some reason every year the best band competing always gets 2nd place. They always give 1st place to whoever is the best singer while playing/an accompanist is playing an instrument. Many people agreed that we sould'v won too. We had the largest crowd reaction too
nice job. but the intro guitar drowns out the lead guitar part

its funny that when a comment about the singer is negative, he's always "sick" people say this in every video that this happens

WE are from a place called Davison in Michigan. We are near Flint if you know anything about MI. and if not, we are an hour north of Detroit.
We might have a decent track up in a week or so

if you are reffering to our tempo i would agree. getting on stage tends to get adrenaline pumping and we end up speeding the song up
