  • i am going to cry for this guy alot of work to be done on this plane :(

  • @SuperNolanator Not really, they flew it the next day. It went into the ditch, the only damage was to the landing gear.

  • It would have helped if he hadn't tried to take off downwind--check out the wind sock as he goes by. 7 knts +or- right on his tail

  • What the FUCK is this retard doing!>

  • @19Truth53 maybe try reading the video description. The answer to ur question is doing a bloody good job of keeping the crippled plane away from the crowds. You, my fiend, are the retard.

  • @19Truth53 he is definitely NOT a retard, as a student pilot I can tell you that aircraft brake are differential and balancing the brakes on an aircraft with a blown tyre would be extremely difficult (never had to do it myself)

  • The twin looks like with not enought power to take off, right?

  • poor beech 18 :s

    poor pilot ^^

  • Same thing happened to me in a 172

  • great save by the crew !! glad no injuries to the people or the airplane.

  • Glad everyone was ok. Kudos to the pilot for bringing the plane to a stop without any damage.

  • Where was I when this happened?

  • Whoa... pretty good jolt to the undecarriage. At the blowout it seems that the aircraft could have become airborne just by leaning on the left gear. Then the option would have been a 150 foot wide runway somewhere or at least full length availability on the go around. at a speed less than the abort speed. Still, no one cn replace the PIC ...we weren't in the cockpit and far too easy to criticize from a beach chair.

R the ground loop wondering about the gear..

  • Tire was very low as they taxied in just before this flight.

  • OK, what I heard was that the plane taxied out for take off with a flattish looking tire? Is that just a rumor? If not, so much for situational awareness...

  • ya it is true cuz i was the copilot kk

  • Good job by the pilot, well done.

  • y not i would love that and pretty sure my dad would to and i would gladly be your copilot again

    thx Ben

  • Dear Taigh,

Thank you so much for posting. I hesitated to upload this video because I wanted to be respectful, yet the event happened, and I thought something positive could be learned by reviewing it. I am glad you were positive about seeing it. I am not a pilot, but I love aviation and could see the balancing act you had to perform. Everyone was safe and you got to fly home. It is as good as it gets for such an incident.

    Cheers,

    David (Aeroiki)

  • i would love to be your copilot again and that sounds great thx

    Ben

  • I was the pilot of that Twin Beech today.

Great video, thanks for posting it. The right main wheel tire blew out right before I was ready to lift off. It was a struggle to get her back in the runway which is why I was lifting the bad tire off of the ground.

As I slowed I couldn't keep it off any longer and she started heading toward the weeds.

A good friend had a new tire and inner tube and we flew her home later in the day.

Thanks again for posting the video.

  • hey was up i was ur little copilot of the crash hope to fly with u again soon thx ben

  • Hey Ben,

I want to take you and the other passengers up to finish the flight we started. I see that you all live near Sacramento so how about I fly up to Sac and pick you all up for a flight at no charge? Sound okay?

Will you be my co-pilot again?

I look forward to hearing from you Ben,

    Taigh
