@dancewithmegurl12345 Hi, sorry for the late reply. The first and last night we spent the night over at seaworld, sleeping in the underwater view area next to the manatees on the first night, and then sleeping next to the dolphins on our last night. The other nights we were at a hotel. You can read the description for a quick overview of what I did there, or visit their website for more information :)
ohhh how awesome!! I may go this summer. Hopefully my dad will let me:D:D
I've been to Sea World many times but it would be fun to go there without my family but with other people who enjoy Sea World. Cross my fingers my dad would say yes:D
@Jessica76649 yeah, pretty sure they run them every summer June - Aug. There is an age limit, for the career camps it's grade 10-12, I'm from Scotland & we don't have grades, so I don't actually know what age limit those are, but I went when I was 16. Have a look at their website, they do other camps and stuff. San Antonio does a Marine Zoological career camp for college aged people, which tbh sounds much better than this camp, more hands on work with the animals I think.
Awh it looks like you had SO much fun!!! :D I wanna go SO bad next year,in the 10-12 grade career camp :) If you wanna chat & tell meh bout the camp we can message :)
@XxMileymadxX .... that you ALWAYS have to be with someone. & what time you go to bed etc. I was scared about the deep shark dive aswell, but theres really no need to worry, you're inside a cage, so they can't get to you :) but as I said, they change what they do every year so you might not even be diving with the sharks, we didn't get to see all the shows, so if this is your first time going, I'd make sure you have a day to go round with just your parents after the camp. All food etc is free :)
@XxMileymedxX well what they do changes every year, they allow you to sleep next to manatees, dolphins or beluga whales, but you can only sleep next to two & you don't get to choose. You get split into two groups, & whatever animal you sleep next to first will be your group name. You might not get to swim in the killer whales tank anymore cause of that killer whale (Tilikum) killed one of their trainers earlier this year, but I'm not entirely sure. They are quite strict in the terms of....
hey, i am maybee going to go to this next summer and i was just wondering if you could let me know a bit more about it, i am also from scotland but my parents would be in florida anyway so i wouldnt have to fly alone. it looks like an awesome experience but im not sure if i would enjoy disecting a squid lol and i would probably be a bit scared of the shark swim :s anyways still cant decide if i want to do it or not so hope you can help :)
no sorry I don't really know.. I think it depends on which on your doing? I'm too old to go to the career camps(I turn 19 this year) but found out they have one for college aged people called "Marine Zoological Careers" and it sounds pretty much exactly the same to the advanced career camp one, and it says you snorkel next to dolphins.. so I think you do :)
sadly no :( the only thing we did with the killer whales is swim in their medical tank, didnt feed them or anything like that, its only Orlando thats strict though, in San Antonio you get to feed them fish and get your picture taken with them! & they do stuff with the Beluga whales.. gutted I'm too old to go to that camp now :'(
Idk if they will let you in the tank this year though, cause of what happened with the trainer on Wednesday :(

I want to go next year. Do you do anything to help me get a career as a orca trainer? Like Practice swim test or touch them, etc?

Ho-ly oh my god. I'm SO jealous you got to swim in one of the back pools of the orcas. You don't even know. *bleeds jealousy*

It depends on where you go I think, Orlando doesn't do it, but I think the others like San Antonio and San Diego have cabin things you stay in :)
