All of those saying that Chelsea was robbed need only look at this dance. This was a perfect example of Hines ability. The first promenade footowork was awesome. No offense to Chelsea but too few of her dances really showed her ability (her Rumba among others being an exclusion). They mostly involved her doing that stupid walk and pointing. Hines really was the best dancer this season!

I don't remember her calling anyone on a lift. I can't believe she didn't say a word about Hines' and Kym's blatant lift at the end of their Rumba.
@listlass i think because it was the end of the rumba . it didn't really matter at that point compared to if they did it in the middle of the dance. i think romeo and chelsie did it at the beginning of one of their dances too and she didn't point it out.
I watched ALL the Paso Dobles. This was the best by far!!!! Chelsea's dancing was good, but too edgy and Mark's vulgar hand gesture hurt the team. NO WAY Kirstie deserved all 9's. Hines was much better!

Silly people. The professional judges have spoken about Hines Wards performances, and they think he is awesome. Their scores are the ones that count the most. Arguing over youtube that is silly.
I love this dance! I was hoping they would do this for their favorite dance of the season, but some of the pulling moves might be tough on Kym's neck area. GREAT dance. Deserved a 27 first time.
If Hines wins DWTS it won't be from earned effort. The show is rigged big time. He's a well known football player and popular so the show keeps him there for ratings. He's not a good dancer by any means. Needs to get back on the football field and leave the dance floor to others who CAN dance.

DWTS promotes people for specific reasons and agreements. Notice how HIGH his scores are from the judges? It's a combined total of the public voting and the judges that keep him on the show. If they truthfully critiqued him on his dancing he would've off the show by week 2.

Dancing should really and I mean really help Hines Play a whole lot better on the field. Him aging shouldn't affect him. He seems to have alot of motivation and is a natural. Lynn Swan did dancing. You could tell it helped him alot too. lol

He's just raising ratings and the show is keeping him on to help keep viewers watching. Kirstie Alley is sooooo much better than Hines. @KymJohnsonisawinner I love all the pros and think they're really good at what they do except for Anna D. (the other Anna, not Anna T. who's Jonathan Robert's wife). Anna D. was the worst pro ever...I guess that's why she wasn't asked to come back for a second season. However, I think Cheryl Burke was nominated for an Emmy for her Paso Doble with Drew in season 2.
@KymJohnsonisawinner Well it was a minor lift I'm sure she didn't intend it to make it something really obvious. It was a lift nonetheless. The only dance where they're allowed is the Argentine Tango, I'm pretty sure.
Hines and Kym's paso was brilliant! Their timing and chemistry are amazing! He's in control, which is what he needs to be as the male dancer. In an interview, Kym said that she felt she had danced with a pro. I love watching them together, on and off the dance floor!
Well, I got to disagree with you on that...I don't believe that going for it with a comfortable dance without difficulty is what's its all about...It was a good dance for sure, but technically, it was suspect, he was flat-footed for one thing, which is Glen's big thing...But its early in the season, we'll just have to see what happens when they start to really put the screws down..It's just my opinion, but I think that it will be Hines, Ralph, or Romeo for the win...They all got 2 8's...
Wwwhhhhhaaattt? No way was this Paso better than Romeo's!! Romeo's was waaay faster and faaarr more difficult..! Hines is a good dancer, but they didnt cover the floor, and he actually didnt move much at all...He was pretty flat-footed as well..If Romeo had not had to start the show, he and Hines would have opposite scores..If you don't believe me, than you need to check out Romeo's Paso....
@MrReed314 Hines executed the dance and Romeo didn't . .this show is not judged on how fast or how difficult the dance is, it's whether that person can execute that particular choreography.

I'm surprised no one called them out for the lift in the beginning. Technically speaking that would be a one point reduction, so they should have gotten 3 8's. They call everyone else out for lifts and knocks them off a point, I just think they favor Hines/Ralph rather than couples like Chelsea and Mark or Petra and Dmitry

Len and Bruno will not budge....they favor Ralph Macchio. It doesn't seem fair that the most exhiliarating and passionate performance didn't get all 9. These judges need to be fair. I love Hines Ward's dancing....

@MrGQAlix Sure he currently dances better than me, he's being choreographed, haha. It's obvious he has zero rhythm in general. Keep telling yourself what a great dancer he is. DWTS promotes people for specific reasons and agreements. Notice how HIGH his scores are from the judges? It's a combined total of the public voting and the judges that keep him on the show. If they truthfully critiqued him on his dancing he would've off the show by week 2.

Dancing should really and I mean really help Hines Play a whole lot better on the field. Him aging shouldn't affect him. He seems to have alot of motivation and is a natural. Lynn Swan did dancing. You could tell it helped him alot too. lol

He's just raising ratings and the show is keeping him on to help keep viewers watching. Kirstie Alley is sooooo much better than Hines. Anna D. was the worst pro ever...I guess that's why she wasn't asked to come back for a second season. However, I think Cheryl Burke was nominated for an Emmy for her Paso Doble with Drew in season 2.

Hines and Kym's paso was brilliant! Their timing and chemistry are amazing! He's in control, which is what he needs to be as the male dancer. In an interview, Kym said that she felt she had danced with a pro. I love watching them together, on and off the dance floor!

Well, I got to disagree with you on that...I don't believe that going for it with a comfortable dance without difficulty is what's its all about...It was a good dance for sure, but technically, it was suspect, he was flat-footed for one thing, which is Glen's big thing...But its early in the season, we'll just have to see what happens when they start to really put the screws down..It's just my opinion, but I think that it will be Hines, Ralph, or Romeo for the win...They all got 2 8's...

Wwwhhhhhaaattt? No way was this Paso better than Romeo's!! Romeo's was waaay faster and faaarr more difficult..! Hines is a good dancer, but they didnt cover the floor, and he actually didnt move much at all...He was pretty flat-footed as well..If Romeo had not had to start the show, he and Hines would have opposite scores..If you don't believe me, than you need to check out Romeo's Paso....

I'm surprised no one called them out for the lift in the beginning. Technically speaking that would be a one point reduction, so they should have gotten 3 8's. They call everyone else out for lifts and knocks them off a point, I just think they favor Hines/Ralph rather than couples like Chelsea and Mark or Petra and Dmitry
