I really like this reminds me of the Joe Bonamassa version but I like this slow blues version. Love the singing you really should do more. How about a Christmas number.
Hi Gary, thanks for the feedback. I would like to be able to say that this is entirely my own arrangement but in fact I based it loosely (very loosely) on the Joe Bonamassa verion on his "John Henry" album. Well we all have to aspire to something and I'm a great fan of Joe's, but I still prefer Sam's version. thanks again regards Mike.
Ha! I knew it was a wise decision to subscribe. Such a pearl. Makes my day. Great, your voice and the guitar in the same mood. Drum "problem": Solved.
Did you know Vicky Browns daughter sang background with Jon Lord (Before I forget-CD) at the age of 15? And naturally, later, on Pink Floyd's Pulse. Stop is one of only three songs I heard on the radio and just HAD to go buy as fast as possible. Thank you.
Always been a Floyd fan, possibly due to David Gilmour's blues influenced guitar licks, and yes I've seen Ms Brown on a few live Floyd vids, a great and under-rated talent. Don't know if you've ever heard of an old radio prog called "desert island discs" on which guests select ten songs they would like to have if stranded on a desert island. Sam Brown's version of Stop would definitely be on my list. Anyway, glad that I've struck a chord. Thanks again for the support and encouragement. Mike.
The DJ didn't say who that was and so I found myself in several music-stores giving impromptu performances of a song that goes: ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah. Finally someone recognised....
2. George Thorogood: Live. Heard it in a hotel-room in Ticino. I was praying to the DJ to give me more! He played 3 songs in a row from that one.... I took that as a sign to buy. "I Drink Alone" was the first song.
LOVELY . Lovely. All that is missing is a few shots of YOU singing...I take it that is not you at the end..lol cool equipment you have got...!! Way up on mine, which is non existent...I don't even have a mike. !! Nothing personal...
Hmmmm...this is so good...hope you OK

Hi Jorg, So what were the other 2 songs that you had to buy? Mike.

Hi Mike,
The other two songs I got from the radio are:
1. Laurie Anderson: Oh Superman.
