  • i admit 0 to 60 aint that quick but after 60 once that turbo kicks in bye bye its a sleeper trust me i took on a Lexus is 350

  • u need to change it at 7000 rpm not 6000

  • @Tkulhanci703 wrong 7000 rpm is the redline witch means no power

  • You shifted too early. You should hit 60 in 2nd gear.

  • Ok, weird question for you: Is it just a coincidence or do all your 0-60 videos being acceleration at 00:04 seconds in? Just curious.

  • @kobimzr Coincidence? All of them? It's not by design…

  • Audi A4 ? 0+60 in 7"50 ? That's slow ... My mazda3 185Cv gazole is better ! lol

  • damn thats slow

  • picking up ur grandma from church?

  • how did u display the current speed off the car on the on board computer ? can't figure it out.

  • 9 seconds to do 60 mph 14 seconds to do 79

    BUT I LOVEEEEEEEEEE THIS CAR

and its the drivers fault he drive too slow. I could drive faster then that i mean i use to own one of those it took me 4.3 seconds to do 80! the drivers too slow...

  • he should of said Audi a4 2009 0-79 mph

  • I give german cars like 4 years and you will be having 10 electronic problems....get a japanese car and be happy

  • @xxoocobraooxx y the only german cars wich have huge electrical problems are mercedes. leave a car standerd and take care of it and the only electronics you will need to change are lights and stop lights. japanese cars like mitsubishi or toyota give them 50.000 KM and all you will start to here is the ratling of plastics and a few mechanical failiurs my uncle is a mechanic and he tells me about his jobs..of course if a man owns a toyota or japanese car he will say their better but these are fact

  • is that the same engine as the golf gti?

  • 5mpg, nice!

  • im gonna get some popcorn..lemme know when it gets to 60

  • @MrJswans it justt got there now

  • 2.0l got that fast that quick i know its a turbo but wow

  • I sat in one of these as a passenger and let me tell you, even though it's an inline 4 cylinder, it's 258 lb ft of torque makes a difference. Every tap of the gas and I felt the torque. When I push hard to accelerate a 2010 Acura TL, yeah it's a faster 0-60 but doesn't feel as fast in the cabin... hard to explain.

  • @marrark it is a 2.0

  • It would seem strange to me having the speedometer needle in the same spot as about 40 mph in most cars when I'm driving 60.

  • About ~7s. Scion TC and Civic Si territory. Not very fast.

  • @kris1991

But the interior quality and exterior looks better than a Scion or a Honda.

  • @kris1991 It's about the same displacement as an Si and weighs a third more.

  • You don't buy an audi 2.0t for speed. They have other models for that.

  • Who needs Christmas lights when you've got an audi with a dashboard!

  • it cant go 180, what were those guy at audi thinking

  • pretty damn slow for the price.

  • this is slow..why not put it in sport?

  • What is the point of a tiptronic trans, and what does it do?

  • @mrdeathbat92

I think it's Audi's paddle shifter on the steering wheel. So when changing gears you won't have to take your hand of the wheel.

  • My dad got me the 2010 Audi A4 Prestige model about 2 days ago for my first car. It is a very fast and luxurious car and that is what I love about it.

  • @LoveTheCity123 Lol daddy bought you an a4

  • 5 mpg! lol my aunts taho reads 2 mpg when shes accelerating from a stop like normal. then when it goes into V4, when shes coasting its like 40 mpg. lol

  • @highdeserthater Any car made after around 1996 should be at 0 / infinity when coasting. When you remove your foot from the gas at speed, the fuel is cut off. My Mazda3 reads 99.9 MPG or 0 L / 100 KM when I'm coasting.

  • I have a question. Where do you do these tests at?

  • @evilmidget95 At a location that must remain undisclosed. :)

  • @mpgomatic Nice try, police.

  • @teamtransit19 How am I the police just because I know how to talk?

  • @mpgomatic your driveway LOL!

  • @mpgomatic this is lies he does them in my backyard.

    i want my grass back!

  • man once thism thing hit like 55 its acceleration really went down

  • @mpgomatic If it is to remain UNdisclosed, then how about you tell us. I think you meant to say disclosed.

  • @trese0000 No, lol, disclosed means that it is told, undisclosed means that it is secret, look it up! haha

  • @jctevere Yea, haha. Your right.

  • @mpgomatic lol, pretty sure that means anywhere

  • @evilmidget95 i have a question, what police station do you belong to.

  • @Sandor203 I am not from a police station. Haha.

  • @evilmidget95 airstrip probably. lol

  • @evilmidget95 ahahahahah you suck popo.

  • @MrKristianp How can a 14 year old be a cop? You fucking idiot.

  • @evilmidget95 the same way a 14 year old can say the f word and think hes gonna get away with it.

  • @MrKristianp Lol. You're probably the "cyber police". You're not intimidating. But nice try though.

  • @evilmidget95 in other words in and old deserted road that no one gives two shits about

  • i think my 2.2l grand am is faster :)))

    check out my vids

  • And to those who think a Honda is better then a German car be my guess drive your Honda but do you really think that a 20k Honda is compairable to a 45k Audi then you have no idea what your talking about. The only good thing I can think of Honda being better then my Audi is you don't need to put 91 in your tank.

  • You can't get any closer to the redline in this car the car won't allow it, even in tip mode. It's done to percent turbo lag. So in a way it's faster this way.

But what I don't understand is why the driver took off the way he did. Every awd owner my self included knows that you turn ESP off hold down the brake and hold the rpms up this way you have boost when you take off. This guy just gave it gas.

  • man, the driver was undershifting by atleast 500 rpm's.. getting closer to the redline means more power and acceleration.

  • I don't know, it seems kind of slow. My BMW e38 is a lot faster.

  • 0-60: 7.1 sec

  • Im suprprised that the Audi has a great transmission. It shifts really quickly. It reminds me of a DSG haha. Nice video :)

  • @LazBro123 thats cuz it is dsg haha

  • @nadzhater It is? It says 6sp auto.........

  • @LazBro123 well im pretty sure DSG is the VW double clutch transmission and VW owns Audi so by association im sure the audi transmission has the same tech. im not sure though haha

  • @nadzhater Well, VW does own Audi.................The shift timing is about the same between DSGs in VW and Audi. But you have to say, it is an awesome transmission :D haha

  • im prety sure that the audi and that sentra have the same time

  • what kind of cheap mods can u do to the 2008 audi a4 to shave off a few seconds?

  • exhaust, cold air intake

  • @rampagehockey21 chip is ur best option, the american tune on these motors are so restricted its not even funny

  • i agree with nigguhjason. goofy name...anyway

This is quite slow for a 2009 turbo. I used to own a silly little 2001 4 cyl 1.9 turbo VOLVO, raced a friends 2008 audi 2.0T, and tied it to 0-60. SAD but TRUE. so dont thumbs down a comment that is true, you damn FOOLS.

  • is there a audi a4 that has a manual transmission??

  • yeah they make them in both automatics and stick.

  • Your shifting to early just use sport mode or red line then shift. I bet you could at least shave off a second doing that.

  • Starts at 4 seconds.... ends at about 11-12 seconds.

Making the car's 0-60 about roughly 7.5~8 seconds. Since its under 60 MPH at 11 seconds, but its at 62MPH at 12 seconds.

IMO for a car that is turbocharged this is pretty slow. An Acura TSX (CL9, First Gen) does 0-60 in 7 seconds with a 6 speed manual. Also the TSX comes with better relibity because its a Honda, and also the fact it probably nearly 8-10K less at fully loaded OTD pricing.

A4 is good, but slow for a car that has a Turbo.

  • Audi's (as with other german brands and european cars) are not just about speed. When you buy an Audi you buy luxury, performance, top quality equipment that will hardly ever break down, and the latest technology and safety. Speed is just one dimension, and if thats all you care about then buy some crappy second hand japanese skyline and chuck in a turbo and a few bits and pieces and voila

  • "top quality equipment that will hardly break down" LOL

lol german cars do break, and when they do, its fucking expensive

  • oh haha only saw your comment after i posted mine :D

  • @SnizzFizz Ayy and thats why we enjoy it, we dont like to drive around on little Hatches, and Hondas

  • @g36m0 And that's also why Honda has outsold every German car maker in United States every year for the past 7 years right? The only thing my moms 2008 honda accord can't do that my friend's mom's 2008 BMW 750i will is a slightly quieter ride. It also manages to get a combined mpg lower than the city mileage of the accord, and have nothing that warrants its purchase except for a bmw logo. Get with the times, Japan has caught up to Germany in terms of automaking

  • @SnizzFizz No one asked about the production of the car or its mileage or how much where sold. I simply said that its much more enjoyable to drive a German car, for many reasons, you might think differently but i own a B6 A4 and a BMW a e60 528i. The cars are amazing, some people just prefer a nice smooth luxuries ride instead of a bumby roaring vtec. Oh and performance wise, BMW Shits on Honda.

  • @g36m0 I've driven a B5 and B6 a4, a B6 S4 and S5, e46 325i, 330i, and M3, and an e90 335i. The cars are amazing in your opinion, but from what i've seen BMW, Audi, and VW are pretty weak. The only german cars that stand out in any way are Mercedes. Oh and economy wise, Honda shits on BMW because its an economy company you dumbass... no shit BMW's will be faster

  • @SnizzFizz Okay so you owned all those cars fuckin Donald Trump, now this is a video to show the performance of the car is it not, to summarize everything, German cars shit on Honda and any other out there.

  • @g36m0 I never claimed to have owned any. In fact, everyone in my family drives a japanese car. I've driven my spoiled rich friends' cars, because many were given ridiculous first cars at my school. lol you're just another German car fanboy. I don't see any shitting on, because far less people buy them. I'd definitely say that's Honda shitting on german cars

  • @SnizzFizz German car makers don't plan on selling billions of their cars, so your point is invalid, you're basically saying Honda sell's more cars than German car makers when it has nothing to do with anything.

  • @g36m0 I would prefer to drive a 330i over my EX-L V6 Accord but it is because my Accord is too quiet and the suspension is too smooth and soft so it can really go both ways man.

  • @SnizzFizz You're right about that! My friend had a VW Beetle TDI, he lost a part and used a whole tank of gas to go and find where the part was lost.

  • @BermudaGreenNox He's talking about repairs. That could happen to any car.

  • @SnizzFizz but its very very unusual :)

  • @SnizzFizz thats y ilovemy american cars

  • @ditimedia93 Who are you kidding? lol American cars are less reliable than German cars

  • @SnizzFizz not rele i have never seen anyone own a bmw over 200k miles -_-

  • @ditimedia93 I've rarely seen american cars run great past 150k miles, I've seen plenty of audis bmws, and mercedes' with well over 350k miles, running great.

  • @ditimedia93 my dad owns a 287k bmw

  • @ditimedia93 then you need to see alot more BMW owners, or a couple of BMW fanboys.

  • hardly ever break down? - are you fucking retarded or are you just pretending to be? audis and vws are probly the least reliable cars ever

  • Relax, no need to start swearing for no reason. Im basing that on the fact that I have two uncles and and three friends who all drive audis and they have had no problems what so ever with them. If you routinely service and look after your car (not trashing it every time you drive) then there is no need for it to break down. If you know people who have had troubles than fair enough, im just saying from what I know.

    Peace

  • umm... what car do you drive may I ask? Honda? LOL

  • But nice interiors....I would never touch another after 2 A4's....a B5 and B6 (after the B5 had 12 visits in the first year for leaks, and coil packs)

  • @gintabful Are YOU fucking retarded? Audis and VW's are one of the most reliable cars in the world, and Audi is known for its top quality, and best interiors in the car market. Nobody matches the quality level of Audi, not even BMW and Mercedes.

Anyone who disagrees with what i just said, simply doesnt know anything about this topic. Saying that Audi is unreliable is like saying that Ferrari's cant go trough corners properly. Just insane to anyone who knows something about the topic.

  • Now you my friend is someone who understands ! Thank you !

  • @derbigpr500 lol you act like you're some kind of fucking car expert and everyone should listen to you on the internet, when in reality, you're a fucking NOBODY. Where do you get your facts? Oh wait, I know already: They come straight out of your asshole, because they aren't facts, just your opinions. HIS comment is higher rated than yours, which as it happens isn't even rated at all. Get over yourself, you're just jealous that more people like his comment.

  • @gintabful Meh, just like all companies I think there are lemons that gice them bad names, theres a 92 Jetta cruising around where I live, rusted, looks like shit, but still passes inspection, has good tires, starts on the coldest days and the sunroof doesnt even leak. I'd say they cant be that unreliable. its gettin close to 300K miles for that old thing.

  • @gintabful haha your kidding me.....

  • @gintabful Most reliable cars 1 Honda 2 Subaru 3 Mitsubishi 4 Lexus 5 Toyota Least reliable cars 32 Land Rover 31 Alfa Romeo 30 Renault 29 Saab 28 MG Japanese cars are top of the bill (not a lot of things that can break down in them). British, Italian and French cars will break down when gazed upon. German cars are generally OK.
  • Not to mention this guy wasn't even maxing it

  • he shouldnt shift so damn early.the advantage of using tiptronic manually is to rev closer to the redline than drive or sport mode does.not saying its good for the car either lol.

  • jesus who cares people. if hes off by .1 second big deal. the point of the video was to get a taste of the audi a4's power not exact 0 to 60

  • 6.8secs

  • 0:4 to 0:12 0-62 is 0 100

    8sec

  • thats about 7 seconds what is the cars base starting price in the U.S

  • @atgskater14 it's way too much

  • gas and diesel are two separate engines they work completely different read and review how it works before you argue even if its an automatic

  • Why does it say "Red Hot" on the dash? :)

  • Just lucky? ;) Brian Setzer was playing on the audio system when we shot that clip ...

  • Nice short shifting.

  • Its automatic....

  • "Tiptronic transmission shifted manually. "

  • Tiptronic is automatic transmission" He just presses the buttons. He doesnt need to shift or press clutch.

  • I know, thank you, he's pushing the buttons too early, idiot.

  • You're the idiot here. This engine has horsepower peak at 5300 rpm, why the hell would he drive it to 7000?? This is not a naturally aspirated petrol engine....

  • Hurr durr. When you shift you lose speed, therefore, even when you shift right after peak power you don't crank that gear out far enough and you lose speed. If my cars peak power is at 3800RPM why rev it any higher?

  • What im saying is there's no need to redline turbo petrol engines and diesels. This audi has peak power at 5300 rpm, he revved it 6500, 6300 in 1st and 2nd gear. Theres no need to go any higher than that. You can hear the engine starts to slow down after 6000 rpm.

  • That's because the car's moving faster, it's not going to accelerate at the same rate the faster it goes.

  • You dont understand what im trying to say. Whatever, im right, you're wrong. This engine doesnt need to be driven higher than 6000 rpm, anything above that is not efficient and it better to shift into higher gear. You wouldnt redline a diesel would you? If you do, then you cant drive.

  • An automatic would redline it, because it's faster. GTFO.

  • No it wouldnt. Please stop replying, you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • It's faster to wind out the gears even if the power is less.

  • Maybe on manual where it takes almost a full second to shift, but not on autmatic or dsg where it takes few miliseconds to do so.

Watch the speedmeter gouge, it doesnt stop at all when the shifts happen, because they happen so fast you dont even feel them in the car, you just hear the engine

The conclusion is, he accelerated just right in the video, there was no need to rev it higher.

  • lol you aint seen my driven....I can switch a gear in .2 he he jk... Just thought i would throw that in. but i do shift faster than a second...

  • Thats what you think. You have an impression that youre shifting that fast, but nobody can actually shift as fast as automatic.

  • not sure about that.... I think i could get close...

  • no you cant... dsg is way faster than the average race car driver, just look at the 911 turbos and gt3 gt2 models... all faster with vw developed twin clutch technology. Only ironman can shift faster than this

  • technically no, for the actual shift itself, but autos wait far too long in terms of revs before shifting - hence the reason manual shift versions get from 0 to 60 quicker than the auto versions of the exact same car.

  • @derbigpr500 if its just a stock auto then they dont necisarily shift at light speed, if its like a flappy paddle gear box then they shift way faster than any human could but your regular auto transmission isnt always faster than a human

  • the object of revving higher than your peak power is so that when you land in the next gear, ie from 1st to 2nd, you are in your peak power zone. if you rev to 6k in first, you are gonna land closer to your peak power when you shift into 2nd. its simple. if you shifted at your peak power point, you wouldnt get much of that power, then when you landed in second, youd have to work your way back up to peak power. let it go man..

  • Good luck with that strategy, youll be in 4th before you even hit 60.

  • i got 7.3-7.4 not even close to 6!

  • I just really like the clean instrumentation.

  • just under 7 probably 6.75

  • I got 6.63 with a stop watch several times. I do it 1.1 seconds faster!

  • yeah I got 6.64

  • red hot LOL .. nice gauge display hahaha

  • it's the little stuff that makes a difference ... =)

  • clever you :P hahaha

  • 6 sec

  • closer to 7

  • Thats a very sad shift/engine haul sound for an audi.

  • that was like 6.5 the camera prolly is behind. i got 7 but yeah

  • wats the top speed?

  • Looks to be about 7-8 seconds on this video. Kinda slow.

  • nowhere near 8, no ways its even over 7

  • was it uhm like 8 seconds?

  • pescalante2, most 0-60 tests for the A4 2.0T post in the 6-6.5 second range, although C+D managed to time an astonishing 5.7 seconds. I have this car and its amazing the power and delivery this 4 cylinder is putting out.

  • I knew it, I've driven my friend's 2009 2.0T A4 and clocked in at 6.2-6.5 on a 0-60, what do u think about the 6 cyl 3.2L?

  • i have an 05 v6 3.0, and mine gets there in 6.2 bare stock, cant imagine the 09 3.2 would be slower, lol.

  • I would say that the 3.2 is putting out 5.7-5.8, pescalante. Although for an all around good deal the 2.0T is an easy choice, I was close to getting the 3.2 (used to own a 2006 A6 3.2, previous version of the same engine) as it is very smooth and has more of the V6 grunt and power at higher speeds. Plus the beautiful exhaust note compared to the TDI sounding 2.0T. Besides that, no complaints on the efficient, and quick 2.0T engine.

  • the digital one is made to glance at to see you speed its not made to check ur speed while racing

  • LOL,okay is the tachometer showing the current RPM or the RPMs from a driving trip last week? Seriously, it's got so much latency that it's useless....

  • its a delay on the video feed idiot.

  • oh on the "video feed"? alright then. I thought it might have been dropped frames from transcoding which usually causes the video to overtake the audio, not the other way around, but okay, it's the "video feed" then

  • so weird... there's like a full shift delay

  • it seems to happen on most of MPGOMATIC's videos... perhaps the camera their using is inserting duplicate frames for whatever reason

  • A glitch popped up in our in-car camera at some point, throwing those clips out of sync. Once I figured out what was happening, I fixed the sync problem in Final Cut. All of our latest 0-60 clips should be properly synced.

Unfortunately, YouTube will not allow the audio tracks on older (pre-existing) videos to be updated. :(

  • want one so much

  • if u ever get one the first few thing u need or should do is get it apr tuned and k and n airfilter those small things will make it fucking hall because out of the factory they dont go to good but if u buy a 93 octane chip it almost gives it 100ft of torque

  • where would you go to get it apr tuned

  • well u can do it urself but go look up ecu upgrades on google and apr is the best one to get its 600 dollars i had mine done at a local place. but on the site it says local places near u on the website so idk man my dad did it i hoped i help any other questions ask me but if u dont have 600 dollars atleast k and n air filter on it to start

  • from a dig yes if its quattro.

from a roll no. way heavier than gti's.

  • so it is faster than gti mk5 ?

  • so a4 is faster than gti mk5 ?

  • very fast!!

  • audi ftw :D

  • test drove the A4 Prestige. 2.0T .. I was pretty amazed on how fast it is, it keeps you in your seat when the RPMs reached over 4000k. Love it.

  • For everyone who said this is slow, i can say two things. You're either a retard or you drive a car that does 0-60 in 4 secs. Because this does it in 7 sec in this video, and the launch was terrible. This is a quattro car, with proper start (not this pussy gentle start) this car does 0-60 in 6,5 seconds. Which is VERY FAST for a 200 hp car. And for you guys saying "my 9?' chevy does it faster". Well guess what, it doesnt. And it consumes more petrol on 0-60 than this Audi in whole week.

  • Thanks for the kind words, Derbigpr500. For comparison purposes, these 0-60 runs are not shot with power brake starts.

  • with a launch they'll even do better than 6.5, they are very capable of 6.1
