  • i was 19 wen i decided to go natural. im 20 now and it feels great. i can workout without worrying about my hair :)

  • Hello, Just wanted to know how your healthy hair journey is going?

  • aww your so pretty (:

  • How do I edit a youtube video(how did you do the part when you had your cap on then when you came baq it was all rinsed out

  • @iluvcandy342 The only way you can edit a video is if you have an editing software on your computer like Window Movie Maker.

  • your smile is truly beautiful, nuff love (^_^)

  • @zeekenigma Thank you!

  • @leeoramassengill

    your very welcome

  • i'm uploadin my vid right now, so whenever you'd like to check it out feel free. Thanks for the help, i really do appreciate it.

  • Oh ok thanks. I've never been real big on takin care of my hair so I can't tell u exactly what hair type I am but its not coarse & not too fine, its prolly in between. I'm goin to try to post a video this weekend & hopefully get helpful advise

  • You are welcome and I went through the same when I first started taking better care of my hair also. It is a learning experience... learning what works well for your hair. Please let me know when you post a video! Peace and Love!

  • do you have to mix products for deep conditioning?? for the first time last weekend i tried my own lil combo (i know i know) but i used the olive oil, a lil bit of this essential oil from aphogee, a lil bit of jojoba oil & virgin olive oil then sat under the dryer for about 40 minutes then rinsed for several minutes. I tried deep conditionin once before just using the ORS & both times i've "deep conditioned" my hair it comes out feeling heavy...what am i doin wrong?

  • You may want to wash your hair with shampoo afterwards instead of rinsing only. That should help. Or the products may be to heavy for your hair texture. My hair is so thick that if I use the same products and followed with a wash , my hair would not feel heavy at all.

  • you need to use a detangling spray that works for me...i use one for kids

  • Thank you!

  • use a denman brush.. it cuts down on the detangling process by a considerable amount of time. Ive been natural for a year and i just got one about a week ago.. and cant believe ive ever lived without one. Combs dont really detangle all the strands but the denman brush really does seem to do the trick!!

  • Thank you Elizoli86.

  • where did you get your coconut oil...i see everyone with them but i can never get the store that they bought it at.

  • I get mine from Kroger (in the health food section) and from whole foods.

  • thankyou(:

  • i get mine from walmart

  • yo, i am a mexican teen boy who has coarse dry hair,

and I want to grow it out long and smooth. will deep conditioning make it smooth and straight? or can I use a relaxing technique?

  • Hello Mcrlover2death,

I am not a professional, but deep conditioning will help nourish your hair and help with detangling. If I were you and if your parents say it is okay, I would ask a professional hair stylist to look at your hair texture before using any relaxer to your hair. Relaxer is a harsh chemical that can cause damage to your hair and scalp if it is not used properly. To be safe and with your parents permission, you could ask a professional about flat ironing your hair straight.

  • You are beautiful.. lol. You probably have them out by now but you make sum braces look cute... ;)

  • Thank you so much! : - )

  • i use the cholesterol conditioner too! i love how my hair feels afterwards.

  • I agree...loved it!

  • I find that shea butter and different oils help with detangling..also you were right...washing and detangling your hair in big twists in sections is better since our hair follicles tend to get snagged on each other..

  • Since my big chop, shea butter has become my best friend! No matter what new products I try on my hair, shea butter is my forever and faithful hair product.

  • speak the truth! *L*

  • I know I want to go natural ... but I really don't know how .... I've been watching videos for about a month on natural hair ... I want to have a cute transitioning hairstyle that I'll keep til I feel comfortable enough to cut my hair. I'm only 16 .... so u know the whole teen thing ... lol !!

    Pray for me.

And if you can ... give me some pointers.

  • You and me both :]...being sixteen and wanting go natural is hard because you know the environment(high school) is a tough place to undergo. I wish the best in your transition as I wish upon myself. Peace out and much love :]

  • Straw set curls is a good look.Research it :-D

  • thank you !

  • im 16 and am 4 months into the transition. Im not going to lie you have to care for your hair and be willing to experiment what products work best for your hair. I have been using bantu knots, braid outs and bunning for my transition. I find easiest to use braids and twists or wigs if you like them. If you have questions just message me. God bless. :)

  • You are so sweet, thank you! I finally did my big chop this past September. I wish I had your wonderful advice while transitioning.

  • god bless u too ... thank you ... I'm only 1 month into mine ... cuz i decided a few days after my last .... lol ... but yea thanks for the comment .... keep me updated ... i'll pray for you !!!

  • i have twists right now. I am making the transition now. I am sixteen and i'm glad i made this decision now

  • Proud of you! I wish you all of the best with your transition!

    Peace and Love,

    Leeora

  • i'll do a rollar set or cornrows too.i'm transitioning myself

  • Congrats on the transitioning! A roller set or cornrows are great transitioning styles.

  • Gosh You've done it Now! I have to go play in my hair now. girl those are small twist to just be washing and taking loose! wooo you're diligent. I would put that mug in about 6 big dookie plats. This is a great video!

  • Thank you!! You just do not know, trying to detangle my hair that last time was hateful!! I started having flashbacks!! So, I had to do what I knew would work this time. I thought about making them bigger, but I was not sure what would happen.

    lol : -))

  • Nice music! great vid:)

  • Thank you!! : -))

  • try cornrows or a roller set good luck on your journey! i wish you the best!

  • Thank you so much for the advice!! I never thought about cornrows...that would be so cute. I have not put cornrows in my hair before, but I will try. Thank you!
