  • A lot of ignorant comments. The idea isn't to see if he can avoid fast, lethal, and center aimed stars while balanced on a pole. The idea is to test his balance while making a lot of upper body motions. In that sense, he's doing what is asked of him.

  • OH come on,,what a crock of shit! not one star is thrown into mass center, not one. last week glen was a ninja, then a tae kwon do expert ,,,& this week he is a kung fu movie white crane expert!! nat geo is really digging into the dung heep. His white crane is it even 2% real??? dont think so.

  • idk if i like this one, how well can he balance on his feet if he had shot the stars anywhere below his waist....

  • @metallica4ev

Not only that....but they arent real ninja stars and they are coming at him at less than half the speed a real one would be, and at that range. This is BS.

  • Amazing! Truly amazing! Ninjas are ok, but monks have them beat anyday!

  • Picccolo: nice work..

  • Well Shit

  • thats awesome training always pays off

  • that lady needs a ninja star!

  • can real cranes even dodge ninja stars?

  • @3512435124 maybe

  • Now they're just having fun with this.

  • This crane style just tells me one thing.. why fight your opponent when you can move aside and making him tired..LOL

  • @Fudeenky10 you don't say? -.-

  • I was expecting him to do a flip and still land on the circular thing he is standing on.

  • windows xp this is soo old

  • The closet thing we have to a sportsman using kung fu attacks is Cung Le; he has a background in Sanshou, which uses different blends of traditional kung fu. However, look at how he fights. He keeps steady and actually aims he spinning kicks, rather than throwing them much as Mike Tyson throw punches.

  • Like a BOSS

  • AIM FOR HIS HIPS!!!

  • FLY PATRICK STAE

  • I admire the shuriken shooters accuracy to always shoot at the same places!

  • what the hell is ninja stars?

anyone who has a brain knows that its called shurikens

    idiots

  • @furydesigner they are american, what do you expect

  • @furydesigner But this show is directed to people who miht not know.

  • @furydesigner nope those are called ninja stars lol and that is the correct term used universally~ only weaboos knows the other term and they tend to get anal about it..HAHAHAHAHA~

  • @ShuyuKoukin no, shuriken is the japanese term for it.

  • @Terran156 well im not japanese..and so are you. so its ninja stars.

  • If you can dodge a ninja star at 6 ft. off the ground then you can dodge a ball!

  • if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge ninja stars!

  • Wow, so he can stand on my head and keep perfect balance. That's be awesome. :-D

  • i would only take this seriously if the guy was asian, sorry

  • @ichibang15549 LOL i bet u neva done 1 practice of Kung Fu training......i know A LOT of dudes who do Kickbox but since they now know what Kung Fu is they will neva go back to Kickboxing.....Kung Fu is the best fightsport for a streetfight maaayne!

  • @LincolnOsama me personally i will say all fighting techniques are all powerful in the general, but if i was to master my own fighting skills i would go for 'Jeet Kune Do' meaning mastering all the fighting knowledge you know, so if you have studied 'Kung Fu', Kick Boxing' ect... Then gain that knowledge and use what works best for you, this all relies on your dedication & self esteem ( just an opinion )

  • @qasy456 true knowing several disciplines and choosing the one you're more comfortable with is the best way to use your martial art, i know a few, but the one i use the most is chinese kempo, its more my style

  • Kung Fu=ART

  • Hi am i new to martial arts and I am looking to take this as self defense( wah lum) . how effective is this art for self defense/ how long doesthis take like would 1 to 2 years teach me the art enough for denfense of will it take ten?. The sifu names is Tom Hasse. Thanks.

  • 2.54 ooooh don't touch me please

  • Throw a chair and he's done.

  • I wish man still fought like this but we got pussified and use guns now.

  • I'm Pretty Sure The Throwing Star Positions Were Told. Other Wise That Would Be Too Dangerous..

  • @GotTehMuncheez i doubt they were real shuriken.....

  • Chuck Norris succckkkks

  • chuck norris could do it without moving.

  • They use the music and say things as if he's got a chance of being hit. I doubt they would air an episode (or part of an episode) if the person in it got struck in the eye by shuriken...seriously...

  • @ThaDudesAgamer I agree with you to some xtent but i trust nat geo absolutely 100% & they won't lie to common ppl or air ne bullshit !

  • @Mussicfreak123321 That's where you're wrong they do lie to common people and air bullshit.

  • a chinese kungfu master seems more convincing since its chinese kungfu

  • okay im sorry but this is total bulshit americans are just going on by what obvious the fact that tigers are agresive cranes are good at balancing snakes are fast strickers and so on. in crane kung fu balance is not somthing enforced on the practitioner its manly about striking fast and soft not soft as in the western understanding of soft but meaning to be relaxed. americans need to cut out this movie bullshit

  • Throw a fuckin' Elephant at him. Now dodge that motherfucker xD

  • Comment removed

  • @gambonist first you gotta master the hulk technique in order to do that

  • @gambonist How would you throw him a elephant. With your bare hands ?

  • @Riddickquitue

    Meh, hire Chuck Norris.

  • @Riddickquitue talk about a lame sense of humor.. jesus christ i didn't know people could be so stupid.

  • @gambonist lmfao

  • @gambonist LOL!!

  • @gambonist a dumbass born everyday.

  • @gambonist Then I'm pretty sure fightscience would be more focused on the guy who can throw an elephant.

  • ummmmmm they didnt say anything about crane blocks and strikes and foot work jus balance grrrrrrrrrrrr wat crap

  • que merda de kung fu é esse?!!!!

  • @SpektrohRck Kung Fu estilo garça.

  • Throw a basket ball at him. Lets see that fucker dodge that!

  • @RedoubtWolf

    He would catch it, lol!

  • now we need a panda :P

  • Why didn't they get a Shaolin monk on here to perform O_o

  • @s3lfcontr0l they did watch fight science stealth fighter. I think its in part 2

  • wat is the ninja threw one at his legs??

  • Ist just me or does he throw the ninja stars (the first 3times) always top, right, left, or something like that?

    And very slow?

Im sure if he would throw that star with full power on his head, they wouldnt even need to call the ambulance anymore. Cause he couldnt frking dodge that.

  • Wasn't Glen Levy a Ninja master? What the fuck is going on? Can't Fight Science find different people for different arts?

  • @buland93 Yes, he is. And he did a similar balancing demonstration for Ninjutsu. As far as I'm concerned, his demonstrations don't prove anything about either style.

  • they should use the real hand gun lol

  • he would be a boss at dodgeball!

  • @MrDahl16 If you can dodge a shuriken you can dodge a ball

  • If those stars are real, then homeboy is straight up BANANAS. B-A-N-A-N-A-S

  • heard the ninjas star was made of wood and he got hit couple of time and re- edited.

  • Comment removed

  • Why must it always be science?! -:(

  • It would have been funny if he dodged all of them perfectly than when he was switching to the next one he just up and fell, then when he stands up, he does an afro ninja and kinda stumbles to the ground.

  • that dude throwing the shuriken is the real reason i m watchin this video!

  • omfg he could have get hit does anyone care???!!!

  • rofl, everyone posting negative comments SUCKS BALLS, y'all couldn't dodge the empty whiskey bottles your mom throws at you on saturday nights from 20 feet away standing on solid ground, let alone dodge shuriken while standing 8 feet off the ground on a wobbly post, go try it sometime losers, have fun taking trips to the hospital XD

  • americans??? hahah so lame!! why dont put Chinese instead of american im sure it will more convincing hahahahahaha

  • @harveyfenellere Yinwei Zhonguo nanren you xiao yinjing :p

  • @cmatrix4761 i dont understand but i hope its positive.

  • @harveyfenellere lol no - it was actually very offensive.

  • @cmatrix4761 ok

  • This has got to be the stupidest thing I've watched ever, couldnt they have a guy pushing his at different angles to check his balance.

  • And how does throwing ninja stars at him prove he is a good kungfu fighter?

Shouldent he fight somebody or something?

  • @Herowebcomics Exactly thank you for proving our point lol

  • @MrBlackwhirlwind Your welcome!

I'm glad I was able to proove your point.

  • AIM FOR THE LEGS he cant fight if he cant walk

  • What if does shurikens accidently hit him in the nuts?

  • Wow what A fail ninja He Couldn't even hit a guy With sick ass balance

  • Chuck Norris can do that better with his pinky and having thousands of people shooting him with guns

  • @hiddenninjashadow

    no he cant

  • since when does glen levy associate with kung fu? I thought he was in ninjitsu (japanese).

  • Good balance Glenn and good job on the shuriken throws Sensei!

  • I thought it was to good to be true, and it was. On minute 4:50 you can see a thick rope they forgot to erase, they are using a pulley.

  • @susy555

There is no rope there. and if there was it would only be for safety that non existent rope wouldnt help him balance

  • @peeweejj well that is not what I see there. There is a rope, and it does help you move easier. I do martial arts for 25 yrs, how about you?

  • Although the ninja stars were dulled for safety. He did a very good job at balancing himself. He mustve did some good amount of training.

  • 0:01

    FUCKING ADS!

  • imagine he got hit like butters on south park ahahaha

  • @TreskyTheKid woooof

  • @lawgarabis lmao!

  • ninja balance on a pair of asics wrestling shoes lol

  • not one of them was not on target

  • @Vids4players95 huh?

  • this show is so full of bs

  • cool

  • Glen Levy is a badass,

  • bullshit! im sure crane kung fu is the shit but no way they could nor would endanger someone's safety in this manner.

  • the dude throwing the stars looks like the guy from silent library :P

  • @lovinmymusic4life dude throws those ninja stars like a sissy

  • Though I personally don't believe science measures the actual art, so much as the person and their individual ability, I must say that it is incredibly enjoyable and insightful to witness martial arts, in their true application and form, in motion.

This test may have been a little biased though. Glen Levy (the test subject) was listed as a ninjustu practioner in the first season/special.

  • Red rover red rover send Glen on over! NO DUDE NOT HIM!

  • ignorance of Americans are so much fun to see online here... knowing Asian's since I have been 8 years old and meeting Monks, Muay Thai Masters for Temples you would be shocked how simple and relaxed and normal and not even that much muscles showing till they need to come to life.. so sad how many ppl learn from Hollywood or as I call it Hollyweird - its like how loud Americans YELL when doing martial art comp is so funny I LOL @ U

  • @canectar Not everybody is the same. Would u prefer that we all did the same thing? didnt think so

  • @datcuserida damn where'd that come from .. never think that or want that.. pls don't put your thoughts out as if I think them...

  • @canectar Knowing Asian's since you were 8? Meeting Monks and Muay Thai Masters from Temples? Which Temples?.Your profile say your from Southern California. Is there something wrong using Science to explain things? Ignorance of Americans...so calling a place hollyweird is not an example of ignorance? Anyone can train their body to suit a fighting style or a certain type of activities ie football, basketball and hockey. This video is just breaking it down by using science.

  • @paidday not sure what your point is, I have read this over and over and over and sorry I don't fallow you and "to be honest -don't care to". I was commenting on the ppl that was cutting down this video, saying it was crap the guy had no style, this is bunk, the guy was slow with his ninja stars etc.. oh well have fun... and to let you know I lived overseas 4 years, been 13 country's.. study sports, been in contest, and NOT all things can be explained with sci..saying hollyweird is ignorance?

  • @canectar read your comments. You sound like an asshole. You call claim Americans have Ignorance, but you make remarks like hollyweird. Double standard. Visiting 13 country's doesn't make you well rounded or an expert.

  • @paidday thank you for feeling I am an Expert and you have to prove to me I am not.. I know what I have typed, I know what I think, I know what I know and DON'T know.. this is wisdom "if you can't understand someones typing" the Intent, the line of thinking, maybe its YOU that have yet to understand the WORDS typed? American's are for the most part lacking Culture and think Hollywood captures the Culture and portrays it correct... sorry Its YOU that are far from understanding, show Ignorance.

  • I don't know where they find these martial artists. They always seem like no name practitioners........just my opinion

  • @jetle25 just because u have never heard of them doesnt make them no name

  • @jetle25 LOL, yeah, like this dude could have been your average looking joe on the street yet he turns out to be this badass that does Crane style.

  • what a badass!!!

  • okay he can balance and dodge slow under-handed throws

  • @pudicus2 Mmmm, you should stand on that pole and try to dodge those shuriken. Tell us how that goes =D oh wait...You'd be DEAD -.-

  • @pudicus2 those weren't under hand, and they weren't slow at all. you try stand on an unstable 8ft pool while using crane style to dodge throwing stars then tell me how you feel.

  • @kiwikid42 thank you... damn youtube punks always trying to nit pick something they will never accomplish

  • it's funny to see white dudes dressing in asian outfits haha.

  • that is incredible

  • eh you can tell by watching him that he still has a lot of improvement, maybe i heard wrong but i wouldnt give him the title "master" just yet.

  • it would have been more awsome if he was a real ninja....

  • I think da ninja guy is holding back a little, if he threw with his full force, that would be very hard to dodge.

  • @uzerofutube i don't think so, BUT... he seems to be throwing for vital areas (which u should) had he thrown for center of mass i bet it would have been harder to dodge (yet less lethal) but im still amazed! that was incredible

  • what do you mean youre done? he still has another platform

  • @theguyyourjelousof oh ok he did do the last

  • i cant imagine how long it took him to learn to balance so well! :)

  • crane style looks like it would be reallly hard to learn, but it would be so awesome to learn it lol

  • This video is great! I love the in-shoe technology shots.

  • people talk shit like if it was easy LOL!

  • hardly even an APRENTICE of crane.....

  • it was very uncomfortable to watch. i was afraid he was going to get hit.

  • @SmexiiStevie You were afraid? I was hoping he would get hit =/

  • this guy is weak lol

  • Comment removed

  • ninjas

  • @TheSweaterKid Ninja didn't learn kung fu, they learn Ninjutsu

  • LOL!! If you saw National Geographic's other vids on Fight Science, Danny, Glen, and that ninja girl should team up and be unstoppable xDD

  • what if he gets hit wit that star lol

  • you get a point lol

  • ....sweep the leg.

  • should of aimed at his legs.

  • where do they find these hack martial artists for the show???

  • Shur he can. Shuriken. Ha, get it.

  • Awesome balance.

  • What happens if one of those shurikens hit him? O_o I hope those are fake

  • Kung Fu,I love it

  • That right there is a REAL NINJA. Damn unbelievable lulz

  • fake?

  • @theyouthahead218 I was joking...sarcastic troll thing...ya...
