dude..they have been around since moog started in 71'. and the building in the backround and i believe the building there is mutato muzika where mark mothersbaugh (from devo) records his songs from devo and other soundtracks and commercials and stuff.

the guys from daft punk did not even finish their first album before this video and song were made, so the odds are small that they are a version of Daft Punk. More likely, daft punk is a version from this.

I am 100% certain that Chris Cornell wrote this and played it first with Soundgarden. He sometimes did it solo with Audioslave.
