Weezy admits that himself on The Carter Documentary (you should peep that; it's dope). However, Big Daddy Kane HIMSELF says that back in the day, when rappers like himself "freestyled", it was NOT off the top. When they had cyphers, they would all come and bring their best writtens which had not been heard previously.
