1 grade Vaganova ballet class ARB - 2

They don't have any other school. ARB is a boarding school. All the students have classes of maths, history, geography etc...but the most part of their day is classical ballet

Is their any way in which we can buy this video as i adore watching the Vagnova students dance!

I think my daughter would be inspired by it as she is adamant she want's to be like the russian ballerinas.

Yes I realized that now after watching a documentary on the school. I wish that children s ballet classes were more serious. I think I could of benefited more from ballet if we would of been taught positions earlier. I began when I was nine ans stoped when I was 18 because of physical limitations. And well you know how it is . If you don't go professional and get into a company then there is not much left for you in that world.

7-10 hours a day? thats like the whole day r u sure? dont they have skool or something?

@julie101rox yes, they have a 2 hour ballet class every day followed by academics and on specific days they have different dance classes such as acting, stretch/strengthening, character, variations, modern, pointe, etc. Classes goes from 9am until 7pm, Monday - Saturday.

They are 10. This is near the end of their first year of ballet classes.

Before they enter the first grade (here) at Vaganova, they have actually been dancing outside Vaganova since they were about 3 or so already. These girls here are about 9 or 10. They dance everyday, 7 to 10 hours a day. : )

no wayy!! they are so amazingly incredible i can't even believe it!!! oh my gosh. they are practically perfect! and they are only 10!!! wow. just wow.

@rarie13 these children have to be . they have been training since the age of 4 probably . and they have to audtion to get into this school

@sailormoon114 Actually, some of them have never danced before when they come into the school. Some have, but usually children's dance classes, not serious ballet training :)
