  • no they didnt

  • First let's discuss angles: Right Shoulder should have the forearm parallel to the ground. If you are not all together on that, then a judge will start forming an opinion right then and there and you don't want that opinion to be poor. Spin angle are mostly off. A standard two handed Front Spin should be parallel to teh body and you can see the rifles are all over the place.

Commander, pull the throg and scabbard so that it aligned exactly with the seam of your trouser leg.

  • @jkmarshall001 Finish each move! Whether it's putting your heels together to come to Attention, bringing the laft hand back to the side or coming up from the front almost-kneel around 1:05. When you don't finish movements, they run together and your work becomes unreadable. Commander, when Marking Time and holding the scabbard, the left arm does not move. Make sure the weapon hits the ground on the heel of the butt of the rifle. When it hits on the toe of the butt, it bounces all around.

  • @jkmarshall001 There is some nice programming (the windmill-like move into the straight line after the circle. btw, the circle has very repetitious moves in it- you can lose you audience that way) However, you do not layer responsibilities very much at all. An example of three-tiered layering would be to march, stay aligned and manipulate the weapon. What this routine mostly consists of is march-stop-spin-march-stop-spin. Try to incorporate the weapon a little more while marching.

  • @jkmarshall001 btw...i'm a cadet at kempner...we took first place for this drill team performance

  • @sfiel Do you understand that placement means nothing? Your first place means that you were better than the other teams at the competition; it means the other teams did not do as well as your team. It does not mean your team's performance was perfect.

As I pointed out in my previous comments, the team needs work on precision, timing and even the manual of arms. However, if you know better, by all means keep doing the same thing you've been doing.
