Boxing,TKD,MMA,Wrestling,BJJ,Sambo ect. We are all fighters and more importantly, athletes. Lets just enjoy the sports for what they are and stop comparing. I think boxing is much more entertaining than mma. I only like striking Antares lmao. And any boxer is better than the best striker in mma. They throw better combos, faster, all round better. Mma is to slow paced for me now. And the striking hasn't evolved

This is obviously not to say that boxers would win over MMA guys, we all know the opposite would be true. I tire rather easily, so I would rather be in an MMA match than a boxing one.

Most MMA fights end with grappling, and while that's not easy, it's much more tiresome to be standing up and taking punches and trying to anticipate strikes and so forth --which is the case in boxing. I agree MMA fighters will beat boxers any day. But boxing is more tiresome plain and simple. Also consider the fact that boxing matches are way longer.
@ageeeeeeeeee There's a reason that, despite the much thicker gloves, head related injuries are more prevalent in boxing. In boxing, the fighters do get hit more. Boxers actually take more damage. Dana White himself said this to assuage people's fears of possible fighter injury in the UFC.

When I do mma, I can sometimes go for a clinch, or a guard position to get sporadic rests. In boxing, I am unable to do that, as the referee will immediately break it up. Hey, maybe it's just difference of opinion. But that's sincerely my opinion.

fedor beat a tyson, ali or marciano in mma, but in boxing tyson, ali or marciano would be nocked out fedor. Arlovsky wasnt future in boxing, dont have chin, if he maintein in mma but chance at LHW are best desicion he could get luck.
Boxers will most likely (not 100% of the time) beat MMA fighters in boxing, and vice versa for MMA rules. Why? Because Boxers specialize only in boxing, while MMA fighters learn several techniques.
I love fedor, and I think he's the greatest MMA fighter of all time, but would prime Tyson beat Fedor in a boxing match? Most likely. But no one can be 100% sure until the fight is seen, which is impossible now. Same goes for an MMA fight.

Boxing is very physical and with Andrei weak chin it might not be the best choice, but I hope he does well. There might be less to think about in terms of kicks and takedowns and what not, but he would have had to of learned many new techniques with stand-up; all of which much different in comparison to UFC.

Most MMA fights end with grappling, and while that's not easy, it's much more tiresome to be standing up and taking punches and trying to anticipate strikes and so forth --which is the case in boxing. I agree MMA fighters will beat boxers any day. But boxing is more tiresome plain and simple. Also consider the fact that boxing matches are way longer.

When I do mma, I can sometimes go for a clinch, or a guard position to get sporadic rests. In boxing, I am unable to do that, as the referee will immediately break it up. Hey, maybe it's just difference of opinion. But that's sincerely my opinion.

First off, I'm a huge Fedor fan. But Fedor's striking isn't like boxing. They way I see Fedor's Striking is that he uses it as a means of taking his opponent down, and of course in boxing, that isn't allowed. I think Arlovski would fit well into boxing though. 2rani, reporting...

arlovsky are good striker and had a lot of skils in mma, but he dont have chin , the chin is one of most important skils that the boxers need.
fedor beat a tyson, ali or marciano in mma, but in boxing tyson, ali or marciano would be nocked out fedor. Arlovsky wasnt future in boxing, dont have chin, if he maintein in mma but chance at LHW are best desicion he could get luck.

Hmm.
Boxers will most likely (not 100% of the time) beat MMA fighters in boxing, and vice versa for MMA rules. Why? Because Boxers specialize only in boxing, while MMA fighters learn several techniques.
I love fedor, and I think he's the greatest MMA fighter of all time, but would prime Tyson beat Fedor in a boxing match? Most likely. But no one can be 100% sure until the fight is seen, which is impossible now. Same goes for an MMA fight.
Don't let your biases affect the way you think ;).
