Interesting. Decent, but it does not captivate as some other black metal does. And yes, I would consider this black metal because of the style of guitar chords and the vocal styles (reminds me of Borknagar). I prefer stuff to be faster than this, so it keeps my attention and gets me moving!

To me those bands define ground breaking underground metal and Heart of the ages is a clever mixture of so many genres. And it sounds like i was recorded in a wood with the echoes.
